Verizon works great at Santa Anita Mall even inside Dave and Busters where some carriers seem to have trouble.

Verizon is great in South Arcadia... IF you have a good phone. When I had Sprint before, signal was very poor in Arcadia overall. With Verizon, although coverage is awesome all over Arcadia, there are known weak spots along Baldwin Avenue, namely where it intersects Las Tunas, and the intersects Naomi. I know people with certain LG phones drop calls like crazy there, but Motorola phones will USUALLY hold a call through these areas. To the person below me that had problems in these areas, may I recommend getting a Motorola V710, V276 or E815. You may still drop calls but the dead zones are much smaller. If the service doesn't improve with a Motorola phone, maybe switching to Sprint or Cingular would remedy the situation but I know that they suffer greatly in other parts of Arcadia.

I get full reception in almost every place in Arcadia. No dropped calls at all. I commute to Pomona daily, and maintain 5 bars the entire way there. Verizon rules the San Gabriel Valley for reception.

Great reception mostly from arcadia all the way to hollywood. A couple dead spots on the 210, one between Lake Ave exit and Hill Exit in pasadena and one going east right past the Brand Ave exit in Glendale. These dead spots are also true of AT&T and T-Mobile as I have had both as well. Overall very satisfied with Cingular's service so far.

Had AT&T. Had T-Mobile. Trying to make a phone call anywhere in the so-cal area was a joke. Unless your willing to get ripped off by Verizon, Sprint is your only other choice. You have coverage everywhere and roam off Verizon when you don't. Haven't found more than 1 location where I have to roam. Sprint honestly is your best choice. Don't think the new merger with AT&T and T-Mobile will help. Your prices will only go up, and you'll continually have bad service. Good luck getting AT&T to build out their network in this area. They've been apparently doing it for years. Right...

Sprint is the only carrier we can get "loud and clear" I tested all the major carriers when we moved here from North Cal. last year and by far Sprint is the best! great reception throughout Sierra madre but a couple of spotty areas in Arcadia. My wife has T-Mobile thru her company and she can get no reception at our house. She has to drive around to make a phone call or check email. Would love to be able to get the I-Phone but... ..

Usually decent coverage in Arcadia, Temple City, El Monte, Pasadena, etc. T-Mobile has really improved recently, I used to get bad reception but suddenly it's gotten a lot better.

There is one specific location in my house that will work but that being said, I have to stand there for the entire conversation. Walking out of my house and about half of block, I get better reception. It got better when AT&T merged with Cingular. But its not a sure thing. I work in Downtown LA and hang in Hollywood a lot and Cingular works alright most of the time. Unlike their commercials, I get tons of dropped calls. I never use to get so many dropped calls before they merged with AT&T. I am switching to Verizon. I've heard great things.
