ATT around Blue Lake Springs. Verizon seems to work but my phone is dead all the way for data and voice.

Hwy. 4: AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile share GSM coverage (towers) in Angels Camp and Murphys, but nothing further up Hwy. 4 including Hathaway Pines, Avery, Arnold, and Dorrington until reaching Bear Valley. Good coverage is overdue along Hwy. 4 in Calaveras County, CA. Verizon Wireless (CDMA) roams on local carrier, Golden State Cellular, throughout any covered areas in Calaveras County.

I have cabin close to golf course in Blue Lakes Sprink and have to switch from ATT to Verizon to got it working. I`m using V3m and V710, both working ok, but no messages

Verizon and Golden State Cellular are the only mobile services that work from Angels Camp to Ebbetts Pass. Motorola is the most reliable phone in this area. I can even get a signal in the Kit Carson Wilderness. Verizon Blackberry data connection does not work past Farmington (20 miles east of Stockton).

I get absolutely nothing from Bear Valley to Arnold

Finally got digital coverage in Arnold - although its pretty marginal and spotty. Verizon on Blackberry 7250. But while the phone works, the data connection is not accepted - so no Blackberry email.

Verizon works, Cingular does not.
