doesn't matter where I go, here or to the coast the reception sucks, the service is poor and the reps are usually rude,it's a shame they didn't put as much effort into taking care of customers as they do selling you services they can't seem to provide.

Cell reception is absolutely pitiful in the Northwest. I consistently get -100dbm (~1 bar) or worse pretty much everywhere I go. Most of my friends live in the NW as well, and some of their houses are like a deathtrap (my phone will die within hours searching for signal). There are a lot of houses in the Northwest, and very few businesses. My signal gets significantly better downtown and near Hwy. 99 or I-5, going to -60dbm or better (~5 bars). Obviously, this isn't desirable as I spend most of my time in the Northwest.

RATING 1 and 0... Im in NW Bako.. There is a only 2 towers??? Tower in WASCO then south to Hwy43 n Panama 25 miles parallel apart???.. all the the others 20 towers are on the east side of Hwy99.. No wonder AT&T suck's west of HWY99.. Come on AT&T get at least 2 more towers up in between, I live in the NW and stay in the NW you suck... I'm out in Sept.. if no change for the better!

Absolutely horrible reception. Cant wait to get rid of ATT. These guys suck.

Poor reception inside two story house. Outside is better. Very inconsistent throughout Bakersfield. Call quality does not correspond to bars. This is true no matter which phone I have had. Call frequently drop. Moving position of phone just inches changes the reception.

I have both AT&T (phone furnished by employer) and Verizon (my personal phone) simply put AT&T Stinks. In my office I get 1 bar on AT&T and 4 bars on Verizon network. This area has been like the Bermuda Triangle for AT&T, you would think they would have done something by now.

AT&T rep. told me it was because I make calls in my vehicle and in my house that I have no reception. I told them it doesn't work worth a crap at Ming and Buena Vista either in a field. They had no answer and very very rude.

Cannot get signal indoors at my house or workplace, have to go to back gate in my yard and hold phone to southwest at shoulder height and get 1 flickering bar. Outdoors only in certain areas will I get constant signal but usually only 1 full bar and the secind flickers.

My phone goes from full signal down to none. Doesn't matter what part of house I'm in. Getting tired of AT&T bad reception!

Little to no bars indoors (home and workplace). iPhone 3g says I have full bars but 80% of the time phone calls won't go through. Outdoors away from buildings calling is fine.

I hardly get any reception and drop calls in my house about 80 pecent of the time

Reception out here has been TERRIBLE at best for the seven years I have lived out here. Only reason I don't get rid of AT&T (Cingular) is that my plane is like 8 years old and nothing matches the price or my massive amount of minutes. To much money to re-up for less. I did talk with AT&T today and they were very nice (today). They informed me they are in the process of getting better coverage out here ("not sure how long it will take though"). They also told me the more metal you have in your home the poorer the quality of the signal. Well, that would mean if you live in a Kyle Carter home ( I do ) built 2004 or before you have Steel Hardy walls (hurricane / earthquake walls) that cut the signal down. After 2004 you don't, Carter started building Krap after that due to the sale to Corky McMillin, sorry, but your cell service should be better.

Traveling West on Snow Rd.heading toward Coffee Road. Reception is spotty at best. Sometimes resulting in dropped calls.

Absolutley horrible reception. A huge load of dropped calls. Many people have complained with Cingular.

I have had Cingular for many years. I moved to the Northwest and the reception is horrible. Three different phones, three accounts, all drop calls constantly. Poor customer service.

Signal is very poor inside or outside my house. I experienced many drop calls.

There is a tower right there, get full service, great all the time!

Very poor reception started 6 weeks ago. Very poor support from Cingular to resolve or explain problem. Party line is that I need a new phone and they won't provide it, even though my current phone is only 1 year into a two year contract

I would give Bakersfield a 5, but there is one dead spot by my church on 178 and Fairfax. Other than that one spot I have gotten flawless reception in Bakersfield.
