I cant get 3G at all so I switch over and then get 4 bars, then during a phone call it get 1 or 0 and the call drops. Makes it impossible to have a conversation at my house, would love a land line but thats just as bad. AT&T needs to work on better reception in the downtown Tiburon area, with all the money people have here its not an bad idea to make them happy, they would get more customers. A lot more.

AT&T Cingular has great coverage in this area and throughout most of Marin County. Only issue I contend with is when calls drop driving through Waldo tunnel. This happens maybe 40-50% of the time.

Only works upstairs. 1 out of every 5 words is cut off or broken during calls. I was hoping to switch to Verizon at end of contract but based on others reviews, it looks as if they would be no better. I tried a friends Motorola Razr V3 at home yesterday and reception and quality were better, but not enough to to receive a "good" rating.

Thanks Guys! I am technically challenged and have been using an ancient cell phone with Sprint for the last 8yrs that always seems to work. Finally planning to upgrade to Blackberry and considered T-Mobile (cheaper ) Your reviews have been a great help I will now gladly (ok grudgingly) pay more and keep reception with Sprint.

Since about Jan 2006, reception in this area seems worse. Used to have fine reception in my house, now have none or am dropping calls constantly. Did Sprint lose a tower??? Have other users in Southern Marin seen more problems in 2006? Re East Bay: Sprint coverage in Berkeley is notoriously bad, especially near campus. Some places you can't even get Roam.

Almost no reception in Downtown Tiburon on Main St.and near the Ferry Terminal. Gotta improve!
