I've had Verizon while living in Southampton area of Benicia... but after moving to Rose Dr, I had to drop Verizon. Service at the home was terrible. A friend visited me and pulled out a Cingular phone. I was surprised that the signal was so good at my home. That's when I made the switch. Dropped calls do happen from the home, but Cingular (now ATT) has been the best service provider for my home.

I get below average to perfect reception in Benicia. Anybody who has Verizon knows you can make a call on only one bar with little break up. Best part about network programing!

Seems like about average connectivity. As of a year ago, there were some dead zones in Benicia, but for the past year or so I have not had that problem.

2 bars has been the highest. 1 bar and losing coverage is common. Lately, coverage has seemed to worsen.

Best Western Hotel, 4 bars digital roaming. It works well, but I get hit with huge roaming fees. 2 / 5 for this reason.

Goes in and out of digital roaming inside the house. I get 4/4 bars sometimes, but I go into a different room and get no service. I realize walls have something to do with this, but it shouldn't knock it down to roaming with two bars. 2 for this reason.

Consistently terrible coverage in Benicia! Internet connection on the phone is great; but MOST of the time I can't even use the phone to make or receive calls in my house because I have on 0-1 bars. Called many times and am told AT&T is adding a tower in 2010. It's June and no new tower yet and terrible service. My contract has just expired and and I'm looking for a better carrier.
