my wife and I bought iphones and had to use att. big mistake. we have Verizon for many years and very seldom had trouble getting a signal at our house. we can not get a signal with att. we have tried using a booster signal on the roof - no help. we were told by the local AT&T office new towers were being constructed - a lie.

Nextel has the very worst reception of any company I have ever had. The customer support is very very bad. I just came back from Yellowstone went through 5 states in 18 hours and I had reception for 2 of 18 hours. Please learn from my mistake and do not go with Nextel / sprint. My wife has a different model phone and we both had 2 hours of reception in 18 hours of driving so you can't blame the model of phone. Most of my Family has nextel / sprint a total of 13 of us and we are all changing plans for the same reason.

I drove this on Christmas while on the phone with my friend in New York (using the bluetooth headset). I had great reception all the way over Coldwater into the valley, on the 101 and the 134 until I ended the call when I got to my destination in Pasadena

This phone really blows. Matter of fact, call it the Lewinsky of cellulars. I can't get a decent signal if my mother's life depended on it. It usually stays at one bar and sometimes can't even find a signal. This phone sucks booty juice. The gross old, moldy, warty kind, too.

Multiple dropped calls all over the city. AT&T GSM is the worse cell service I have every had. I was with Verizon for 8 years and had great service. I wanted GSM for the time that I spend overseas. I works great over seas using Virgin or other Euro carriers but is really bad in the US.

I absolutely hate AT&T. I lose so many calls every day driving to work from Glendale to Beverly Hills and the reception is horrible. I have been with them for 10 years and the reception seems to have gotten even worse this year (2004). I hope they read this.

AT&T has no reception in the north side of Beverly Hills (Sunset Blvd. and Hill Area). Poor reception in the Beverly Hills Hotel. (This is why all celebrities chose Sprint or Verizon, and Cingular!)

Reception spotty inside my house. Must be true for all carriers in my neighborhood though, because my block always has people standing in their front yards, talking on cell phones. Reception is adequate to good most other places including my office in Playa del Rey where I often had trouble getting Verizon reception. T-Mobile seems to have many more dropped calls. Also, recent problem with call interruptions - I've ended up talking to strangers whose call just cuts in and takes over mine...
