Absolutely NO T-Mobile service here anymore! I used to get fairly decent reception here in Cambria, at certain homes of friends, at my own home... . gone. Does not even go into 'roam' mode for an alternative carrier to kick in. NO Service. I was told Verizon put in a new tower here and it knocked out T-Mobile signals. People are angry. There is a little spot off Hwy. 1 heading into town at the Cambria exit to Main Street. If someone is desperate there is a signal right as you leave the highway if you park off the road. It's a T-Mobile signal so you can pick up all the voicemail that has collected from calls that never connected.

as of last Thursday May 20th there is service for AT&T customers here in cambria! If your phone does not see the network restart your phone at least twice. My iphone works great but there is no data available. You can only make calls and text message as of now. Way better! So stoked it works here have been wanting service here for years. Love AT&T service... ... . Come back to Cambria and bring your phones! :)

I have ATT and in one spot in my driveway with the phone on the dash I sometimes get 1 bar. I have found several locations that sometimes have a weak signal. Each of them have a small reception area of about 10 feet diameter. I get no signal anywhere else in the community except for a larger area on the bluff trail on the Fescallini Ranch.

It appears that T-Mobile has a roaming agreement with Cellular One (SLO Cellular). I have max'd bars for voice service. Works throughout town and then when getting near 46 and 1 intersection I switch right back to T-Mobile service. Only downside is that there is no data service for T-Mobile while on SLO Cellular.

I live on Park Hill, work in 'Tin City' and on Main St. I have had cellular one for two years and it seems that I get 3 bars most of the time. There are occasional dropped calls. As far as what others have told me that is as good as it gets in Cambria.

Very spotty coverage and a real challenge finding just the right spot in the house. I could save lots of money if I could drop my land line and go cellular. Unfortuneatly this anger against cell phone users is quite sad. If you have an emergency or your at risk a cell phone can save your life. I'd like to see a little less anger and a lot more common sense regarding cell towers.

I have NO reception. Have to drive past Moonstone to get any bars. And a note to Ardath / Ogden contributor from March 2008 - I don't have a landline as I'm hardly ever at my house, therefore my cell is my lifeline, as it is with many other families. Come into the present. My Cingular / ATT worked perfect for 6 years all over the US, all of a sudden I have to look for a new carrier because I live on Main Street. No, I don't have the luxury of getting out of my contract OR picking up and moving a couple of miles.

No ATT reception on the iPhone in East or West Village. No reception on the Marine Terrace. I have had friends visit who have Verizon Blackberries and they were able to get 1 and maybe 2 bars on the Marine Terrace.

Sometimes 2 bars, sometimes 3 bars, sometimes switches to Roaming. On Main Street, get no reception except east of town (e.g. at the Dog Park). Get reception high up on East-West Ranch but not low down. Those people who object to people talking on cell phones in Cambria might ask why they, themselves, are subscribing to cable TV. After-all, with all the beautiful views and walks, why are you sitting in front of a TV????

This is the only place that you can get good reception with cells. I am 14 and I recently graduated fromt the middle school located on School House Lane. Full bars from Verizon. But down town its awful. Sometimes I wonder what goes through the Coastals commionsons mind when they turned twon the cell towers. Its sad because you never know one day you will need to use your phone in a bad accident etc. and you wont have reception. Think People!

Cambria has survived just fine without cell phones for years. However the newbies who move here to get away from all the buzz are the same ones who have their panties in a wad because they do not have any coverage. Personally if it was not a bussiness issue, I would survice just fine without walking downtown as people answered and chatted on their cell phones in local shops, eateries, driving, etc... all the reasons Cambria does not need cell service. Their are plenty of rude people moving to Cambria, lets not give them another reason to dislike the disrepectful idiots.

AT&T Cingular has ZERO reception. You have to go downtown Cambria to get a signal. Cellular One is the only reliable wireless provider, but you have to pay for roaming anywhere ouside of the Central coast area.

On Sprint's network, I get 1 bar of signal at this location but cannot place any calls. I get between 1 and 3 bars when the phone switches to roaming on Verizon's network (digital or analog), and I can place calls even indoors. Ditto for most other locations in Cambria.
