as of last Thursday May 20th there is service for AT&T customers here in cambria! If your phone does not see the network restart your phone at least twice. My iphone works great but there is no data available. You can only make calls and text message as of now. Way better! So stoked it works here have been wanting service here for years. Love AT&T service... ... . Come back to Cambria and bring your phones! :)

I have ATT and in one spot in my driveway with the phone on the dash I sometimes get 1 bar. I have found several locations that sometimes have a weak signal. Each of them have a small reception area of about 10 feet diameter. I get no signal anywhere else in the community except for a larger area on the bluff trail on the Fescallini Ranch.

I have NO reception. Have to drive past Moonstone to get any bars. And a note to Ardath / Ogden contributor from March 2008 - I don't have a landline as I'm hardly ever at my house, therefore my cell is my lifeline, as it is with many other families. Come into the present. My Cingular / ATT worked perfect for 6 years all over the US, all of a sudden I have to look for a new carrier because I live on Main Street. No, I don't have the luxury of getting out of my contract OR picking up and moving a couple of miles.

No ATT reception on the iPhone in East or West Village. No reception on the Marine Terrace. I have had friends visit who have Verizon Blackberries and they were able to get 1 and maybe 2 bars on the Marine Terrace.

Cambria has survived just fine without cell phones for years. However the newbies who move here to get away from all the buzz are the same ones who have their panties in a wad because they do not have any coverage. Personally if it was not a bussiness issue, I would survice just fine without walking downtown as people answered and chatted on their cell phones in local shops, eateries, driving, etc... all the reasons Cambria does not need cell service. Their are plenty of rude people moving to Cambria, lets not give them another reason to dislike the disrepectful idiots.

AT&T Cingular has ZERO reception. You have to go downtown Cambria to get a signal. Cellular One is the only reliable wireless provider, but you have to pay for roaming anywhere ouside of the Central coast area.

I had great reception with ATT and my old Nokia cell phone. Then I bought a new camera phone with bluetooth tech that was supposed to be better from a Cingular dealer (since they bought out ATT). Now, I can't call until I drive 4 miles out of town.
