Have to go outside the house for even a half-bar. I'm always seeing voicemails that were never alerted. I also don't have any coverage at work - in the Natomas / National Dr.area. When I call AT&T, they just want to upgrade my service. All I want is to be able to use my cell phone. I hate them now and will pay to get out of this contract.

Just upgraded to 3GS and have no 3G. Re-booting does not help as it did in my 3G phone. I have Wi-Fi but says mail server is not responding. It worked fine yesterday at work in Rancho Cordova. Is this what I have to deal with?

On top of a hill and the only way to get reception is on the roof. Very poor reception. near Arden and Fair Oaks intersection

Coverage sucks for voice service. 3G data coverage is somewhat better. It's no wonder the voice coverage sucks - there are NO cell towers anywhere nearby. This area is smack in the middle between the two closest cell towers, both of which are quite far away. Voice bars fluctuate by the minute between 0 -3 bars sitting in the same location in my house (near Keane and Kipling). It's necessary for me to use inhome wireless network for good data connectivity. Can't rely on a consistently strong 3G signal. While you can fix the data connection by installing a wireless router in the home, there's absolutely nothing you can do to improve the poor voice coverage. Unfortunately, the iPhone will have to go back to ATT and I'll be going back to my Verizon Blackberry, which has excellent voice and data coverage everywhere that I've ever been in the greater Sacramento area.

Over all good for GSM signal. sometimes 4 out of 5 bars. Other times, 2 out of 5 bars. Old AT&T digital signal (Nokia phone) is consistantly good.

1.Bad customer / service. 2.Bad reception. 3. Three AT&T phones and still dropped calls 99%. 4.I Gave Cell back to them on the 28th day.They billed me like $67.00 instead of $33.00 like promised. 5.I didn't use it, I couldn't. PASS ON AT&T.cingular too.

couldn't make a compleat call with the other person on the phone yelling at you what did you say again and again. PASS ON METRO PCS if you drive east of fair oaks area. throw metro PCS phone out the window past HWY 50 and folsom. I broke down and said to myself. "I'll calll a tow truck" pull new cell phone out and no freeking service at all. phone died looking for service. seems like VERISON is the only depedable Cell-Phone Co. For the eastern part of Sacramento county like: Fair Oaks,Folsom,O-Vale area's.

Really bad coverage all over Carmichael. I think I'm gonna cancel service. I wish other providers had the sidekick3 available because I absolutely love the phone. Previously I was on Surewest and the coverage was pretty good most everywhere. You'd think a giant like T-Mobile would be a better provider but its really not. They need to do something, there network is more like a net-no-work.

In the house I only get one bar. Often you can barely complete a conversation. Climbing on the roof of the house gets good reception.

Other parts of Carmichael were good but this specific area was terrible; generally could not make or receive decipherable calls. People using Verizon had better (but not great) results than T-Mobile in this location.
