Almost never have a problem with reception at home, though on occasion people say "What.." due to a temporary drop out. Infrequently loses connection. Verizon has a dead spot on I-805 south of I-8, loses connection most of the time. Very respective reception out in the deserts (Borrego Springs, etc). Have never needed to use roaming in 4+ years.

I have had a Blackberry 700t with T-Mobile service for 15 months. While the email service has been excellent, the cell phone was just OK for 13 months, and very unsatisfactory within the last 2 months. Practically every call is dropped at my appartment in 91910.

Virgin Mobile uses Sprint PCS and I have had this service for almost two years... one dropped call on corner of L and Hilltop, two bars at best at my house, usually three or more bars everywhere else. I can use my phone in Tijuana at no extra charge! I would stay with Virgin Mobile but I now need more services that other companies provide. I do recommend Virgin Mobile, though!

Our house is located on a street overlooking a canyon and at the foot of a hill. We have lost calls by simply walking a few feet away from the hallway to another room. However, running out the front door yelling can you hear me now has had its season run in the neighborhood.

NEXTEL sucks. Their solution for fixing their bad coverage footprint is to give you bonus minutes. What good is that when the phone reads "NO SERVICE." Go verizon, that is all I have to say.

Cingular SUCKS in this area. If I want to get signal, I have to drive down the street towards broadway. When I am at home, my phone will show full signal till I pick it up, then it shows NO signal.

Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad, the crappy part is that I am in my house. One day I can have a bunch of bars and 10 minutes later drop calls left and right. Even up into San Diego I am finding myself dropping more calls. Been a customer for over 2 years and the coverage has just gone down hill. I do not reccommend the Samsung D415. Worst signal phone I have ever had. Especially for the 299.00 price tag.

Nextel is Great in this area! Everyone has it, and the walkie talkie is awesome. I get great coverage, a few dropped calls, but that is expected with so many people in the area with Nextel. IF you don't have one, Go get one, because someone you know definitly has it. Don't be left behind with that old generic service you have now. GET A NEXTEL!
