No cell phone reception at all today. There's a hurricane traveling up the East Coast and AT&T seems incapable of rerouting around it.

We are military and have lived here for 3 years. We have never had a dropped call due to no service. We are all over the area and the only areas where I wont have service is maybe the back of a grocery store! I am really impressed with the coverage. My friend has AT&T and she always drops our call.

Cellular signal has always been weak or non-existent (0-1 bar) due to terrain. AT&T's signal is configured for outdoor use... it's useless indoors. Unlike Verizon's signal which is considerably better inside. And to think AT&T recently announced an added service to customers with weak signals can now "pay" to have a stronger signal. First you pay for lousy service that AT&T can't or won't improve on and then AT&T wants you to pay for their misgivings. It's better to just switch to a carrier that has a better signal. I very rarely drop calls with Verizon... I think there is one dead spot merging onto the 580 around Tracy, but other than that, I have excellent service. I can't think of anywhere I have been where another cell phone carrier had service and I had none.

Only one side of the street has good reception. The other side is "too close to the mountain". Presumably surrounding streets have the same issues on the East side of the street. Some other carriers have added a repeater on a power pylon in the open space - but not AT&T!

Good reception everywhere in the bay area I have been. On the east coast Va, N.C, reception is very bad, along with all of Alaska.

I've had three or four different carriers in the last few years and Nextel is by far the best I've had. I even get a good signal in the mountains.

Live in Crystyl Ranch on Fernbank Dr. Have no bars anywhere in the house. My girlfriends and my boss think I'm avoiding them. Not really Virgin in particular, no other service provider really does the job, but I'm trying out Prepaid T-Mobile. It seems to get some reception in a few parts in the house, which is better than anything else I've tried.
