Nothing new here-same story about good coverage from AT&T in my area, but it sucks big time. I'll be looking else where.

Indoors, 0 to 3 bars, mostly 0. Outside, very spotty reception around the neighborhood. AT&T claims this address is in an excellent reception area, but in the last 5 years (as of March 2011) there has been terrible reception in the area. Many cell phone users go outside to make calls. The AT&T tech who was here yesterday uses Verizon, and his reception was terrible in the house, also.

Sometimes only one or two bars, but good reliable emal, text and voice inside a woodframe structure. Somewhat better outside of house on the south side of the structure. Reception is good, but "bars" are below average... is it the phone that makes the difference?

Okay for email and text. Had to move around a little for voice.

Drops call every time as intersection is approached

Depends on which side of the house I'm at. Varies between 2 and 3 bars (out of 4). Used to be much worse last year.

Way too many dropped calls. Will be dropping service soon.

Have to walk to second floor to send and recieve calls. No signal or one bar at best on first floor of house. Signal sporadic in this area. 2 blocks away I get 4 bars.

Cell reception is mostly poor. I sometimes get a bar or two in my dorm, if I have my cell phone hooked up with the charger and near a my window I get three to four bars. But I usually get no reception in or around buildings around campus.

Reception out iin west Davis has never been good, but my reception has recently gone from bad to terrible. I used to have AT&T wireless and they were bought by Cingular. I am still under the AT&T plan, but Cingular reception has become almost nonusable. I have had more dropped calls in the last month than over the last three years. Hopefully something will get fixed.

After 6 years with Verizon's poor reception switched to Cingular almost 2 years ago and loved it until merger with ATT. Flawless before merger-- we were able to use cells in house and everywhere in Davis. Since merger our minute usage has dropped, we rarely call each other's cells and can't use them at night to call friends / family. City of Davis won't allow Verizon to upgrade their antenna, Cingular sucks in our part of Davis--now what???

Reception is rock-solid and reliable (indoors and out). Friends have also used Sprint with good results. Verizon has a VERY weak signal here.

Signal on the old TDMA network is about as good (bad) as Cingular's GSM network in this area. Indoor coverage is nonexistant, but usable outdoors. Works well in most other parts of Davis.

Cell reception is generally poor and fluctuates between 10%-50% signal strenth. Doesn't work inside, but decent outside. (Using a triband GSM phone)

The worst signal ever! Most of the time I can't make calls. The customer serivce since the merger is very bad and they won't help when the phone has problems!

Great reception. I live at Sterling Pointe and there is no problem with the reception here at any time of the day. It does switch between AT&T and Cingular though.

I have not had a dropped call since switching to Cingular in West Davis. With Verizon I could barely get reception. Finally I can call from home.

The signal is always strong... rarely when I travel do I get a weak signal.

i get an average of 3-4 bars out of 5 most of the time here with nokias. please don't use a crappy tri-band 900 / 1800 / 1900 phone here, unless it gets good RF like a motorola. all other tri-band phones with the 900mhz frequency have bad reception here. the 850mhz frequency does help a lot to boost the RF signal in this area, so try to pick a phone that has that freq. band. other than that, cingular / at&t is ok in this area. i've heard that Verizon has bad signal in this area though, so watch out for that if you are thinking of going with CDMA technology.

Reception average to low. No signal in most buidings... I think Davis sucks for cell phone, whatever is the carrier.
