The EMI from my computers will prevent me from getting a call every now and then, but for the most part works great most everywhere I go (until I get anywhere NEAR Winters). Oh, and by the way, does NOT get reception in the large, old UCD buildings such as Wellman or Wickson. (But there is free WiFi most everywhere around the MU - "mooblenet")

Usually have about 2 bars inside but with this phone, that's enough to have pretty clear calls. Phone works well everywhere in Davis that I've noticed, Sacramento, Bay Area, etc.

I never have more than 2 bars inside my apartment, and when I do, it is a rare and joyous occasion. During a 15 min conversation, I had the call dropped 5 times. Don't get Sprint if you live over here, they are terrible.

Although signal gets low, around 2 bars inside the buildings, the signal outside and around the city and the campus is very good. Vision services also work well.

Works okay most of the time, inside and outside, though some areas in house only get one bar. Once in awhile conversation is chopped and difficult to distinguish from gibberish. Contract is about to end and I am looking to change phones and service.

The Sprint network is pretty bad out here... I used to use Virgin here (which is the Sprint network sold under another brand)... just very mediocre service. When trying to make calls indoors on Cowell Blvd, South Davis, just a mile or so off of Intestate 80, I would get just 1 or 2 bars and barely be able to make the call, or get a drop. Things get a little better if you go outside, but not much. North Davis around Covell and J Street not much better... your best bet is to make calls outdoors, because the signal isn't good enough to get into small buildings reliably, i.e. your apartment. You could live with it I guess but there's bound to be better options out there.

Sprint's reception in Davis really sucks. Not just in Davis, but I work in Woodland, travel to the Bay Area on the weekends and I get no reception anywhere I go. Not only is the reception bad but your calls get dropped when you are fortunate enough to be able to make a call. I got another 14 months of this crap and have made a decision to pay the early cancellation fee and switch to Verizon. For those of you who are considering Sprint PCS, take my word and go with Verizon. It's the best service in Davis.
