Used to have a Samsung a500 that never got Sprint reception around here, but the free Nokia 3588i they sent me after throwing my a500 into a dresser works without problem - any time of day. Except for the nasty habit of Sprint's where you will have 3 or 4 bars, yet still you get only the voicemail notification and not the call, works ok here!

Recently moved from Suisun City to Dixon. Wow, what a change in service level. Usually had very good service in Suisun. Now, in Dixon, calls are breaking up and dropping frequently inside our home. Text messages take F-O-R-E-V-E-R to send. Sometimes, I receive text messages 30-60 minutes after they were sent. Text messages send better if I am outside. Often, if someone calls me on my cell phone, they will finally get frustrated and ask me if I'm home so they can call me on the land line. Unfortunately, I don't think any other provider will offer better service. Dixon is a small town and, it seems, we're getting small town service. Maybe if enough complaints are made, that could change.

DIXON CA I get NO service inside my house which really SUCKS. Outside I get decent service. It's not like I live in a concrete and metal building. It's just a normal house. I hate standing in my front yard to make phone calls.

I get poor reception inside or out. Calls are dropped between Dixon and Davis. No reception in Woodland. Calls always dropped when travelling on I-80 to Fremont. A friend told me it was likely my phone because it was a little over 2 years old. Reception really went down hill after the merger. Called numerous times and was never told they sold me a piece of crap for a phone. Can't wait to through it out of my car window (contract is done with). Basically I was told the software has changed so much since the merger the old phones don't work well. This phone always show 3-5 bars and also reads no access. How can that be. Well Cingular couldn't explain it just said take out the battery and put it back in. This works on a rare occasion. Another friend just paid some money for a phone with Cingular (yes I picked up the freebie), she gets great reception almost anywhere. Could it be they just sell us bad phones and keep us in contracts when we can't use the service. Ready for a new phone.
