Almost useless. Unreliable signal at home. At work (Balboa-92123 zip code) I hear other cell phones going off all day, but I get no signal. I don't know what other people have, but it must not be AT&T. The only time this phone is any good to me is on the drive between home and work, and even then I get dropped calls.

Good coverage in my house, full 5 bars on 3G. I have rarely no issues around the city, and going to LA.

I get maybe 2-3 bars max when I'm outside, on campus. If I'm in class, or in the science buildings, I get no reception! My phone is constantly searching for service, while draining my battery! Now I have to carry my phone charger and charge my phone, everywhere I go! It's a complete hassle! Plus, I have one of the express cards for internet, and since I have no reception, I can't even use the internet! What a waste! Cell phone providers, need to figure out a way to boost up cell phone signals for college students, so they can actually use their cell phones! Rather than just carry a brick around class to class.

This company has always had excellent service and coverage, until around May or June everything just started going downhill. Cross talking, voice quality, dropped calls in areas where calls were never dropped. Just over all very poor call quality. I have noticed this all over San Diego. Having a clear pleasant conversation with someone anywhere is a thing of the past! The times I have gone in a talked to techs at the stores they never know what I'm talking about. By the way, my friends here in East Co. are also having the same complaints. I'm so temped to change to another service.

I had frequent dropped calls while coming home on the 8 fwy from Greenfield to Dunbar and I couldn't even get a signal in my home. I dropped Verizon and went to Cingular and I have yet to get a dropped call at home and I hardly get dropped calls in the San Diego area. All and all, Cingular is better. I even got reception in Costa Rica and Panama. Verizon cant due that due to it being on a different network that most of the world. South Korea is the only country I know of that's similar to Verizons network.

I was with Cingular during the merge with AT&T when they divested themselves (by FCC requirement) of their tower 1 / 2 mile line of sight from my home but it took me two months to find out who they gave it to. - - - I then switched to T-Mobile who had inherited the Cingular Tower. Great reception. 5 bars. - - June 20, T-Mobile removed the tower! No notice to anyone. Left the entire neighborhood with zero bars. --I spent nearly 2 weeks trying to find out why and if they intended to replace the tower. Nothing but lies and excuses. They never even admitted that they had removed the tower! - - I'm now with Verizon but only have sporadic service. Their tech don't have a clue about when they might improve service up here.

My phone does not work at all in my house, but I can sit outside in a chair and not move and I can get "ok" reception. The reception only gets better once I get on Fletcher Parkway, but is terrible in Fletcher Hills.

I get dropped calls while on the Freeway near Los Coches and I get dropped calls and no service at home. Verizon has told me for two years that they are working on imporoving the service (or should I say "NO SERVICE". I have seen no improvement, only an increase in the cost and frustration when the phone doesn't work. My friends now say, " move 2" and call me back. I can see why Verizon has stopped avertising "Can you hear me now?"

I get dropped calls while on the Freeway near Los Coches and I get dropped calls and no service at home. I need to leave my phone on the counter to talk and to receive calls. I'm truly bitter with Verizon here and were I lived before, Thousand Oaks, Ca. I miss At&t. It was so good to me. Cingular did not hold the bar with there service.

Have Cingular TDMA service (formerly ATT), and I can use it in only one room in my house, if I keep perfectly still. I have my cell phone chair. I had switched to the more modern GSM service with a Sanyo phone and I got zero service at my house, and lousy service throughout Southern Calif. With GSM, I could not use it in a moving car, as the signal would drop consistently while driving. So I switched back to the much more reliable TDMA service. Other than my house, it actually gets excellent reception around San Diego, LA, Colorado and wherever I travel around the US. I'll stick with it until I'm convinced GSM service has improved.

You have coverage in the area until you go through this intersection. Lose every call. NEXTEL, you need to expand coverage in the El Cajon area of SAn Diego County. This area has been left with poor coverage.

In my house I have to find a room I have a signal and then stand still. Also, there is no reception in Sycuan Casino. Nextel has been promising for several years to get service there. I hope the merger with Sprint helps, but I left Sprint 6 years ago because their coverage was bad.
