Almost never get a 3G connection, and calls are consistently of poor quality and dropping all over the place.

Emeryville reception for AT&T is spotty when more than a block from I-80. For some reason, right past the water tank on Powell is a black hole for AT&T. I also have a Verizon phone which has consistently better service across town. It's odd because the area is the nexus of 4 major freeways but AT&T drops everyone who ventures inland more than a block from the MacArthur Maze.

Shows 4-5 most of the time at home; sometimes dipping down to 1. The other person's voice often is very choppy, and some dropped calls. Sometimes the person can not hear me. Get voicemails with no ring at times. The reception has gotten worse, it seems, lately. I am starting to give some of my clients my land-line number, even though I did not want to do this. If I call people back on my land-line, there is almost always a good connection, so I know it is not their phone or service. Service quality is erratic. Can't seem to find a consistant sweet spot in my home. Maybe it depends on the breeze. Had an LG flip-phone on Verizon many years ago, while living at this same location. I don't remember having this many problems with it, and the sound quality was better, too, I think.

Used to not get any reception in my office. Since the merger with AT&T, I'm getting a full signal. Didn't think it'd be that drastic of a change.
