Reception here is awful. Frequent no network signals, missed and dropped calls here due to no reception.

Lived here for eight years and reception has been good until now. In fact for the last few years I always had a full signal at home. A week or two ago I noticed it struggling and it's only gotten worse since. My phone often displays zero to one bars. I have trouble making calls or checking email and have missed calls outright. How do we explain reception getting worse instead of better?

Brand new IPhone 4G and just got a second SIM card because AT&T said it may help with reception. This is far worse then my 2 year old Blackberry 8300. I will be back returning this for something else. Doing research...

This sucks! I just moved into a new office over here and now I cannot even work from my own office. I have to go outside to the street to answer my cell.

I have been a Cingular customer since the 90's. In the past several months the service has almost become unworkable. I may have three bars and then drop to zero along with the call. Cellular service worked fine in my home until about three months ago as well. Now we might only get 1 out of 5 calls that aren't dropped or degraded. At&T claims there are several new towers coming in within ten miles but every time I call I get a different answer as to how many and when.

This used to be one of several dead spots around this area a year or so ago but Cingular installed a new tower and the signal doesn't drop now until you get close to the town of Rancho Santa Fe.

0-1 bars in the house. Used to get 4-5 before Cingular merged with AT&T. Big drop after. Standing in the middle of the street, I can get 2-3 bars.

We had Verizon for two years. Lousy reception at home--had to go to the yard and lean to the left then right over the fence and still had dropped calls. Changed to Sprint--wonderful service--they have their cell tower on Faraday in Carlsbad and it has a direct line south to the hills above the lagoon. Verizon, on the other hand has its tower behind the hills near Town Center and we got a 1 bar signal.

Stationary home office environment. One bar service most of the day. Maybe 2 bars depending on weather. At one moment, there is service, and another moment it's gone. Unpredictable, in other words. But when it works, it's great.
