Drops calls constantly. Reception breaks up in all areas of the apartment. Going outside's not much better. I also work in Folsom - no luck there either. I'm looking to switch carriers...
since AT&T bought out Cingular I have had nothing but dropped call's I have complained numerous times they Dont Care at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY LOUSY SERVICE.
Wow. The phone must make a huge difference in call quality and number of drops. Most phones noted in the reviews are very old. I have had Sprint for 3 years, and usually purchased the fancier phones. I routinely make phonecalls all over the Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado Hills area and rarely drop calls. I also make calls with one bar and, worst case, experience a bit of static. (Dropped calls seem to happen with 3-4 bars for unknown reasons) With the exception of uninspired phone choices, I would recommend Sprint to anyone.
The call drops every time, and service from Broadstone to Swinton is almost non-existent, which includes my home in Empire Ranch. I've complained bitterly to Verizon, who keep telling me it will improve since they bought Mountain Cellular. I haven't noticed any improvements whatsoever.
Service is generally good but where I am most of the time it is terrible, 1 bar at most, many dropped calls. wife's phone roams in our home. Tower is less than 1 / 2 mile away. For some reason it's a dead zone right at this location.
Sound quality gets garbled when you get down to one or two bars. Best idea is to stop when you have two bars and finish your call rather than drive and lose the signal. I like Nextel but they are now sticklers for a one or two year contract.
Typically receive 0-2 bars. I can usually make a call, but often I need to have the other end repeat what they are saying. It seems reception at commercial areas is fine, but where I live it's spotty at best.
I like AT&T GSM for their simple plans and coverage area within california.
Unfortunately, I get very poor to often no reception in the prime business areas of Folsom such as most of East Bidwell and Riley St.
