Phone reception has never been an issue. I've been on Verizon for 5years, and don't have any problems. I use the EVDO coverage all the time. Works great in this area. Sprint does not have good EVDO coverage. The Sprint store next to Target off the 15 has no EVDO coverage. When I switched to the 6700, I thought about going with Sprint, but they couldn't even show me how to connect to EVDO because they didn't have coverage at their store.
Have had Nextel for 3 yrs. at first reception was good everywhere. Reception has steadily gone down hill to no service most of the time. Have to drive almost 1-2 miles to get any reception. Definitally not reliable.
I cannot believe how aweful the service is. Garbles conversations and VM messages that take 2 / 3 hours to get to me. No reception in my kitchen and 1 bar in my living room. Work pays for the phone, but I am too frustrated to go on!
Cingular and T-Mobile use the same tower in that area. Inside my house, there is bad reception (1 bar) or drop call in downstair area. But reception gets better on the second floor. Reception is OK when you are outside. I also have Verizon Wireless phone and reception is excellent. There are 3 to 4 bars downstair and full bar on the second floor when I use Motorola V710.
I have had Verizon in Fontana now for 2 years. Great signal at Baseline and Beech in Fontana and almost no dropped calls anywhere. I don't know about anyone else but Sprint, AT&T, and Cingular all were very poor at best in my area. I will stick with Verizon.
