I have pretty great reception from ATT here in the Inland Empire. I have had ATT now for about 5 years with only minor problems. I live in a brick and concrete house so reception drops about 2-3 bars. All of my dropped calls were from my house which I believe is mainly because reception just can't break through these walls. Anywhere else is fine. I made a couple trips to Fresno, San Francisco, San Diego, and Vegas with no problems in reception during the travels. I'm also driving to LA almost on a daily basis with no problems either. The only problems I face is when entering in concrete buildings, but it's not too much of a problem.

It must have a lot to do with the phone being used. My Black Berry gets excellent coverage in 90% of the areas I travel (btwn Torrance and Fontana)

Cingular and T-Mobile use the same tower in that area. Inside my house, there is bad reception (1 bar) or drop call in downstair area. But reception gets better on the second floor. Reception is OK when you are outside. I also have Verizon Wireless phone and reception is excellent. There are 3 to 4 bars downstair and full bar on the second floor when I use Motorola V710.
