No coverage at all in side the roof. I wonder why AT&T don't have tower in Alvarado - Niles.

EDGE and cellular service almost always drops somewhere between the toll booth and the high-rise.

overall reception and connection quality while driving around the Fremont, union city and southern east bay area can be spotty and somewhat disappointing. (perhaps its the hills) Reception seems to follow most major interstates throughout the state but can still be spotty in some rural or non populated bay area locations like tracy, mountain house, sunol, brentwood, byron, oakley,black point, etc. If your primary locale consists of the following..it may be an ideal choice because... .best reception seems to be as a pedestrian in major urban hubs like berkeley, downtown oakland, haight ashbury and and most areas in san francisco, palo alto, stanford, NYC, JFK, etc. price wise you cant beat a minimum of 20 something bucks every ninety days to keep the same phone number... ..great choice for city dwellers perhaps, or as a temporary travel phone, but not suggested for use as a primary means of communication.

Great coverage outside. Ok coverage indoors. Bluetooth reception drops a lot. Usually have about 3 bars.

Cingular GSM coverage is poor, and getting worse in the last 6 months (3-9 / 2006). Cingular has changed its name to AT&T. Oddly enough, TDMA coverage is good. I resisted switching from my AT&T TDMA phone until required by my employer. This neighbourhood has lots of mature trees, and there is a large FAA site nearby with microwave dishes (towers). Probably contributes to microwave interference.

We used to have better reception than we have now. lately I have started dropping calls, getting ecos when I talk. My voive mess. sometimes come 12 hours late... ??? I don't even have a spot outside that works well... .what is wrong?? Fremont is a large city and I would think the carriers would be able to inprove signal quality. Or is there just too much traffic for the systems... .we travel to the Reno area and what a pleasure it is there... .signal strengh is good just about everywhere, also when we travel I rarely have any problems at all... ..

I got no reception at home at corner of Peralta and Paseo Padre. In front of the house 1 bar.

Reception is near non exsistent in my neighborhood by the hills. Service is great EVERYWHERE else but is of no use since I typically receive no reception at home.

This is my commute drive. If I am on the phone, driving North on Mission, as soon as I get right past Mowry, the call drops. Then it will drop again on Mission, right before King.

Call drops from within the house. May work on second floor. Must go outside the house to receive calls.

Reception doesn't exist the majority of the time. Verizon states reception is good, but service tech couldn't call back! Bad location for Verizon, Cingular, Sprint and TMobile

Verizon is the very reliable. I always get excellent reception. I couln't get service with my T-Mobile service at the ohlone college and inside the class. With the Verizon wireless I always have 3-4 bars and call quality is clear. I have Motorola v710. I recommend Motorola V710 or Motorola E815 for Verizon.

Reception jumps between 0 - 3 bars. Service has problems dialing intermittently. Once on the call, it seems okay. Just poor voice quality.

Awful signal both inside and outside house. Need to stand outside on the corner of the street to get decent signal. Signal clears up and becomes strong if on mission.

Had no problem for several years untill I got the new LG 4000 series phones in Dec 2004. Both my wife and I had no problems with our older phones and now with our newer phones, we are lucky to have a complete call without losing it. There are no reliable spots inside or outside my house. We have to drive about 2-3 blocks away to make a reliable call. Somedays when I leave my house I get incoming voicemail beeps from mesages that are a day old because of the poor reception. Switched out phones 4X and recently got a trimode LG4700. No improvement. My friend with an old Verizon Nokia has no problems at my house. I heard Niles and Rancho Arroyo are problem spots with any phone made within the last year or so.

I get perfect reception with my Mpx220 (full bars) but my girlfriend's V180 has problems (1 or 2 bars).

I get one bar in my living room and dead in other places inside my home. signal improves little bit in patio (2 bars). and also one of the worst Customer serv, i have experienced. But I am stuck. I have to wait for contract to get over.

Good reception on the road from Fremont to Sacramento. Only dead spot is Mission Blvd. near Niles at the tracks. Verizon is okie-dokie with me.
