For the past 3 weeks, I have had 2 hour delayed text messages coming in and many dropped calls. I called Verizon and the tech told me that there is only 1 tower in my area and they have had many complaints. The tech then told me that it was my issue and not Verizon's. So in other words, I have to learn to deal with the delayed text messages and dropped calls!

Signal quality is sufficient for making / receiving voice calls ("1X") and doing text / multimedia messaging when outside; but there is little, if any, EV-DO service for the high-speed data on campus. Also, when inside most buildings, you need to be near a door / window to get any service. It's usable, but not very strong.

Reception is barely there even when I walk out of my house

my house is a black hole. reception is virtually non-existant, all i get are voice mail messages

The call service is good but the 3G,TV ect. (out doors) are weak and sometimes not available. Sprint (happy customer)works best in this area (in doors and out).

I actually found AT&T reception lousy most places. Many places my friends with other plans get good reception I get none.

Ok outside, horrendous inside (missed calls, dropped calls, delayed texts, etc.).

Metropcs has surprisingly good reception in this area, a lot better than my tmobile. Prepaid so give it a shot.

AT&T has some dead spots in house, but better than Verizon was. Route to El Segundo drops some calls, though 2 definite Verizon dead spots on 105.

Rosecrans between Beach Blvd. and Gilbert St. has no signal at all. I believe it is all same for Cingular, Verizon, and T-Mobile. To avoid these horrible reception, there is nothing you can do but to move out to other area. Rosecrans+Parks St. (OK) Rosecrans+Euclid (OK) Rosecrans+Beach (OK, but not where the Regional Park is)

Poor to no reception. True for other family members with same service and different phones.

Reception here fluctuates alot. At one point you can have max reception and once a call comes in, bam 0 bars of reception and the call drops.

i don't think there is any phone service that works in this area. considering every household has about 4-6 cell phones, the carriers should try to do something about it.

Signal is on and off. Very unreliable in the kitchen (maybe it's because of the stainless steel walls). Signal is ok (3 or 4) outdoors.

Just moved here. My new house is a black hole. Only get signal (barely) in certain parts of the house. Outside is no signal at all. Have to drive several blocks south to Pioneer east of Burning Tree to get decent signal again. Otherwise I have been happy with general reception around Orange County.

New clock tower at Coyote Hills Park greatly improves Sprint coverage to an area that used to be poor.

will any carrier give me reception in this area?

Varies between zero and 2 bars. The phone is unreliable in the office, I need to go into the family room to use the phone.
