Terrible reception--I have to stand in a particular spot on my front lawn to get reception-just two bars. Elsewhere at home, nothing. We're about 6 blocks from the cross streets we listed. In the neighborhood, it's the same--some spots have 2-3 bars, most spots nothing. We have Sprint, but other companies are even worse, so we're with the "best" carrier for our area.

Terrible. I'm a busy engineer (space sciences) and I don't have time for this load of garbage. Absolute load of ****. AT&T does nothing more than frustrate me on an hourly basis and charge me an arm and leg (increasing their price against my contract). I have to drive down the street to take important calls. This is not the boonies. I am 10 minutes from downtown LA. Way to cut corners AT&T. I'll be sure my whole company is using Verizon in the near future.

Started to be unable to receive / make calls or texts yesterday, even with 5 bars showing on my phone. A call to customer service revealed (after I'd done the hokey pokey, burned the effigy of a goat and asked) three towers are out in my area, with no indication of when they will be back up. I was told it could be at least 3-5 DAYS before service was restored... .. There is nothing about this on the news or on their site. Their coverage check shows that I should have excellent reception. So not cool, and so interesting that this happened the day that AT and T announced its plan to buy t-mobile.

I have T-Mobile 5+years,usally I have 4-5 bars. few problems spots on Los Feliz blvd., in Montrose and in LA area

i have Verizon for like 3 years now and its so stupid, I have to stand up and go next to my window to get reception. if you live in top of glendale area DO NOT GET VERIZON

Poor or no cell phone reception driving along eastern portion of Glenoaks Canyon (2500-2800 blocks of E. Glenoaks Blvd).

MetroPCS has come a longggg way in Glendale, CA for only $30 bucks a month I have solid reception not just in the Glendale / Burbank area, but all of LA. Thanks MetroPCS for your truly unlimited plans and for putting a dagger into the hearts of the ruthless 4 giants.

Have the hardest time reaching my wife in around the store. only gets through half the time and very hard to hear.

Verizon reception from the 2 freeway up Mountain St.about 2 miles. However, once you hit Flintridge where it curves into the residential area at the top of the San Rafael area, reception goes to zero. Seems the only carrier that WILL work in that area is T-Mobile.

Once you get past the elementary school, reception disappears except in very unusual cases where you might get a ring, but no ability to pick up, or a message notification with no ability to dial out. AT&T seems to do better (could be due to the towers they put up at the top of the canyon on the ball fields).

I usually get NO bars inside my building and have to stand on my balcony to continue conversation. My wife has T-Mobile and HAS PERFECT RECEPTION inside our building. Verizon is a bunch of crap.

Anywhere on my block (Opechee to Glorietta, inside or out) I never get any more than 1 bar, and have even watched my phone go in and out of the Sprint service area while sitting on my desk at home, not moving. We will definitely be switching at the end of our contract.

Most the time goes to Voicemail (0 to 2 bars) will not receive calls. Some times can dial out, signal faids out.

Just got my Motorola SLVR with Cingular and I get perfect four bars in the Glendale, CA Kenneth Village area.

no signal indoor, out door is OK,Had perfect signal with Verizon from east coast, sotheast and west coast except this place

a few blocks up Glenoaks Canyon coming from the 2 / 134 interchange you completely lose reception. Sprint doesn't care.

Sprint blows. calls go straight to voicemail.

Reception varies from Good to Poor reception in spots as we drive up Mountain towards Old Phillips intersection. Reception returns to Good / Average as we progress further up into the residential areas.

Going up Mountain from Verdugo into the hills, reception stays good with spots of fair reception, until we get to the residential areas around Kildonan / Phillips, where it returns to good / excellent.
