We're halfway up the hill on Pine Wood. Service inside the house is almost zero, but a few feet away on the back deck, the service becomes normal. Whenever someone comes to our area (friends, workmen, etc.), they have signal problems. I switched to Verizon from AT&T, and it's the best I've experienced.

My apartment is at the intersection where Mission St. and Jackson meet. I have complete reception in and around this area and have yet to have any dropped calls in the Hayward area. Have been with T-Mobile for 2 years.

When at home, my cell reception is very spotty. 90% of incoming calls go straight to voicemail.

Every time I head up the hill, the signal bars die and my call is dropped just before the Cal State Hayward (East Bay) campus. All my friends know where exactly I am by virtue of when the call drops. My Nextel phone is the same. My friends with Cingular and T-Mobile experience the same as well. Can't someone place a tower in the Hayward Hills?
