If you have not noticed already, AT&T must have installed a new transition tower in Herclues since about 3 days ago. I get 5 bars everywhere in Hercules. I have a unlocked iPhone but was reluctant to sign up for AT&T service because of the bad coverage in Hercules. But now, the coverage is really excellent. I will sign up within the next couple of weeks. T-Mobile also has good signal in Hercules, but no signal at all at my work place on Berkeley hill.

I live on the second floor so I get so-so reception. When I go outside of my house,it seems as though if I went for miles in my city that there is absolutely no reception-at all. But, as long as I can use it in my room :)

Strong enough signal to make / receive calls from some parts of home, data is so-so. Need a closer tower

I live in hercules and can only get good quality reception when I step outside of my house. Inside, the reception is generally bad. Some areas are fine but in most, I have dropped calls. Texting works fine regardless of location. Keep in mind that this is the only place I have encountered problems with Sprint. Their service has always been excellent everywhere i've been.

Depending on where I'm standing in the house, I will get no reception or so-so reception. Definitely no 3G coverage.

Verizon reception is ok at best. MOST calls are received and do go through, however, I will get dropped calls and suddenly receive voicemail messages with no record of any missed calls.

Only fair reception at home, no reception in Target in Pinole (no service), Hilltop mall almost everywhere else strong reception.

At&T's signal is very bad here. What I don't understand is that I get 3 bars once ina while but only for a few seconds. T-Mobile signal is much better here. My niece consistently gets 4-5 bars. If you live in this neighborhood, go T-Mobile. I will when my contract is up in a few months.

Barely 1 bar... with fuzzy reception

Trying to make or receive calls next to impossible, data is very slow. Verizon rep told me they are aware of the coverage problem for Victoria By The Bay, plan to have it fixed in 2013... I laughed. I called them about this problem in 2003, at which time they sent a tech out to drive-test the area and called me back to tell me they don't have coverage out here!??? That's why I called them to begin with! It's only going to take them ten-years, if they get it done on schedule.
