service is great in the south bay. I don't understand why any person would use a different carrier, because Verizon has service everywhere I go. love it!

Reception using AT&T Wireless (TDMA) at LAX airport is very good. Consistent signal strength throughout terminals and outside. I wish the same was true for the rest of the LA Freeway system. Let me know if you want a detailed account of the reception isses on the highways here in LA. Lots of experience / frustration on that topic!

Marginal service in poor weather. Trouble inside house, both floors. It seems that the service is set for roadways and not neighborhoods. It is certainly nice to have the portability of cell phones, but think how much we pay for poor service. The government has let us down on this one.

I'm not sure if its AT&T or the iphone 4 but the combination is not good enough to run a business. I have clients complaining all the time. I would like suggestions. Should I get a "micro cell" (I think thats what they are called), switch services, or switch phones?

I have t-mobile. Used to live in Manahttan Beach in the tree section. Now I live in Hermosa. I have 1 or no bars. I also tried Verizon, Sprint, Cingular... but to no avail. I pay about $150 for BS. So I have a home phone that costs me $80+. Both lines are paid by my company but I feel cheated that I get no service. And when I call customer service or tech support they all tell me to give it more time to troubleshoot or that they need to tweak the tower or I need a different phone... ..Does anyone know if cell service is great in these parts of the South Bay?

Terrible reception at this intersection. Barely get one bar, if I am lucky. If I move north or south on PCH, the reception improves dramtically... seems to be a large deadzone between Pier and 21st along PCH.

bad reception, getting worse over the past month (october 2005). reception is so bad I can't even call Cingular to complain. my GF's Verizon phone gets better reception throughout the South Bay than Cingular does.

Can only use phone in front of living room window on second floor facing north. No reception anyplace else in the house. Need a new company.
