Horrible reception... .Having a difficult time trying to find a carrier that can support this area (tucked behind the Bolsa Chica Wetlands, and about 1 mile from the beach). Having to use a Land line for all calls from home.

I used to get 4-5 bars, but now I'm lucky to get 2-3. Calls don't drop often, but voices not very clear. Luckily, T-mo has a wi-fi calling option on their smartphones.

Sucks sucks sucks! New to AT&T June first 2011. Sales people knew the tower was out at sign up. It has been in and out constantly. Lost hundred in business. Family and friends tell me they called many times. I can't see that. Talk to customers then the call drops. Use the wi fi hotspot and phone has to be rebooted constantly which eats up more data. The phone sucks too. I guess AT&T will be paying this months bill too!

Been with T-Mobile in this location for 4 years signal OK, now no service, got newest smart phone, still no service or data for more then 2 weeks. They T-Mobile can't fix the problem, At&T works better will have to change provider.

I have been living in huntington beach for 7 years now. And I have been with T-Mobile since then. I usually have really good coverage, with a few hiccups here and there. But after I switched to the "smart phones" I have noticed that coverage depends on what data is being sent. I can make calls and send messages. But as for 3g coverage or picture messages, it gets screwy in certain areas. And they keep talking about froyo 2.2. The update that's supposed to "fix" all of these issues. Well, where the hell is it for my phone?! I wish they'd quit the games and push it out to everyone.

Lucky to see 1-2 bars on my roof. Seldom see more then 0-1 inside. Not happy camper after sales force and coverage map ensure coverage but I've been since informed 1 bar is coverage. Buyer beware 0-1 bars = dropped calls for me at least

I bought the iPhone 3GS on Aug 7th and found out that the signal strength was horrible at my home. I was only getting 1 bar. I utilized my WiFI most of the time. I ended up returning the phone on Aug 27 within the 30-day money back guarantee period. The store reps admitted that my home area lacked adequate cell towers and that they were currently trying to get approval from the city to install 3 towers but they didn't know when that would happen. I loved the phone but the service left a lot to be desired.

The Steve jobs press conference left me feeling like the bank just emptied my account and gave me the excuse that some how I did it and that their system could never be wrong because, hey, we are the bank man. lol So bottom line. AT&T 3G service in our area has always been a problem, however you could get away with owning an iphone and still keep most of your calls active unless you need to be in one particular part of my home. The iphone g4 is quite a different story. It cannot receive 3G service anywhere in the house and it drops calls throughout most of the Huntington beach area. I drop over 50% of my call at least once. Not always does it show as a dropped call, sometimes it is as if we hung up. So I believe that this problem is a shared problem... . Lying or stupidity or the best public relations spin that apple could come up with and a carrier (AT&T) that lacks the will or ability to give enough power to all areas of at least Huntington Beach and some neighboring Orange County areas. Release the Lions!

I was coming home from work in San Gabriel, CA, and when I got off the 22 Westbound close to the Huntington Beach / Seal Beach area while talking with my girlfriend, I got a click then a couple of audible beeps from my car phone; I thought for a minute that she hung up on me. Every time I come across this Bolsa Chica Naval Weapons Station in Seal Beach, I start to get really antsy (in a negative way). Why do they really have to block the cell phone towers in such a way? I even live about a few blocks from that station, and I cannot get one single bar at my house. I went upstairs to my bedroom, and I still cannot get descent reception (even 1-2 bars does not even work for me---except for texting). Why, AT&T? Why?

I have been complaining for years to AT&T about their service. I know, I should have changed service providers by now but the rest of my family is on AT&T. But now I'm done. With the release of the iPhone and oversold service plans, AT&T's service is even worse, dropped calls many times per day, incoming calls going directly to voice mail but my phone doesn't show any missed calls, voice messages not showing up in my voicemail box for a week or more after the call, text messages being lost forever. And iPhone call quality is the worst. What does AT&T plan to do - continue spending millions of dollars of false marketing and advertising, and empty promises of new towers that only cause your phone to endlessly switch back and forth between towers. What a joke.

Terrible coverage. I agree with comments of others--AT&T needs to step up to the plate and improve coverage in Huntington Harbour. Very weak signal here. Whenever you are inside, the signal is non-existent most of the time; 1 bar is a luxury. Have to go outside to get any reception. If you are trying to conduct business from a cell phone or give up a land line, don't use AT&T in this area until they improve coverag!

Reception used to be good while AT&T used to share a tower with T-Mobile near HB Highr School, then they quit the partnership and that's why service went down the tubes. They were supposed to install a new "tower" by Dec 2008 at Goldenwest and Slate to cover the "shadow" of Edwards hill but they now claim that it will complete by Dec 2009. I'll believe it when I see it. My company Blackberry is Verizon and it works flawlessly inside and outside the house. 3G network is a POS!

This is embarasssing to have this bad of reception. Verizon gets 5 bars... ..iPhone gets nothing to one bar... .AT&T should step up and invest in a tower... Do not buy a iPhone in Huntington Harbour.

I was so excited to get my new iPhone - but the excitement quickly dissipated as I found out my new iPhone gets NO SERVICE, or 1 bar at most in my home and around. I occasionally get 3-4 bars, with 3G, but only driving in certain areas, and its only brief. The iPhone is by far the coolest and funnest phone, even piece of electronics I've ever owned for that matter, but I'm sad to say, I'm leaving this morning to return my iPhone to AT&T and will continue with my PERFECT Verizon service and reception. It's really too bad Verizon can't make a deal with Apple.
