Horrible service here, both inside building and outside. Have to walk around the building to go from 0 bars to 1 bar. Phone will eventually start to "domestic roam" but still very poor service especially on the data side of things. This is irvine, not the back woods of montana. What's up, Sprint?

I have perfect reception everywhere I go in Irvine! Love Sprint's plans. Way cheaper than Verizon and at&t. Oh I also get 4G in parts of Irvine very very fast I get from 6mps to 8mps down. Sprint's EVDO Network is also very fast aswell, usually from.79 mps to 1.04 mps. I definatly would go with Sprint if you want what I am getting(amazing service / amazing phone)! BTW Sprint has unlimited data and they dont slow you down! hint:tmobile

Does not work in all rooms where I live. I had to get the Sprint Airave installed to use my phone at my place. Sprint wanted to charge me $99 for the Airave plus $10 a month to use the Airave which would allow me to use my cellphone with 4G (no 4G in Irvine btw). I said no and that it would be cheaper to just cancel this contract and pay the etf instead. They sent the Airave for free and waived the monthly charges for using it. Again there is NO 4G in Irvine. The 3G is below average. I wish I had ZERO data plan because I use my wifi for my phone 90% of the time.

love this phone but signal at the Irvine Towners is horrible. I pay for Pandor 1 and the stupid thing buffers all day. I'll be luck to hear one song with out buffering. Dropped calls, delayed texts message. And i'll be lucky to recieve an email with in the hour... .

Excellent Sprint coverage in this neighborhood! Unlike AT&T, I can finally use my phone both inside AND outside my unit (with no femtocell of any kind)! Never thought I'd say this, but kudos to Sprint!

Perfect reception outside. Great reception inside (although it loses a couple bars in the back of the restaurant... but doesn't affect its ability to make / receive calls or texts). Best of all, I get the same service I had with Verizon for a lot less $$$!

We go to the Diamond Jamboree Plaza at least a couple times a week, so having cell phone reception here is very important to us. So far Sprint has not let us down, both indoors and out. Crisp, clean calls... no overloaded network, dropped or choppy calls like AT&T... loving it!

Sprint has excellent reception in this part of Irvine (as well as all of the surrounding areas that I've been to)! Get full bars both inside and outside of my office building and in the concrete-walled warehouse. Signal drops 1-2 bars in the bathroom (center of the concrete building, no windows, fully enclosed in heavy tile), but calls are still crystal clear and data is still pretty fast.

Sprint's service has never failed me in Irvine, CA since moving here over 2 years ago. It has much fewer dropped / garbled / choppy calls than AT&T, has slightly better coverage than Verizon (thanks to free in-market roaming on numerous roaming partners... something most other carriers refuse to have), and cost significantly LESS than either AT&T or Verizon! 5 stars for Sprint's reception!

Antenna located at sears in irvine.

Phone is frequently "Searching for service". EVERY single call is dropped. Most times the phone will not ring on incoming calls even when signal shows one bar. Spoke with Sprint customer service who gave me a PRL update. This did not help. Same problem with my wife's phone as well (Samsung). I am definitely leaving Sprint when my contract ends.

With Sprint, I am often the only person with no reception in most of the buildings on the UCI campus. Everyone else I know with any other carrier gets at least decent reception. I only get a weak Sprint signal outside, or in some buildings in the administration / student center area.

I haven't had Sprint in a few years so I decided to give them another try. After half a day, I remember why I cancelled them in the first place. Sprint still has horrible service in my area. I've heard they've improved a lot in many areas, but not around here. My neighbors are also waiting to get out of their contracts they have with Sprint. It is frustrating having to go outside on a cold rainy day just to use your cell phone. Outside is the only place Sprint seems to work. I wish Sprint would stop placing all its emphasis on camera phones and use some of their resources on improving their network in the southern part of Orange County, CA.

Personally, I think the phone has a lot to do with the reception. The cell phone I have now is big and bulky compared to the smaller flip phones, but it gets acceptable reception inside the house and great reception outside.
