The whole neighborhood of Alondra Park / El Camino Village has horrible reception. Although, by El Camino, there are spots with 5 Bars of Coverage. But the area of Prairie Ave and Manhattan Beach Blvd. North-East just sucks. Why?!

Inside I get 0-1 bars, outside 1-2 bars, takes aprox 5 tries to send texts, data is non-existant, phone calls fail to connect. AT&T refuses to cancel, will switch to T-Mobile which has always worked everywhere I needed. Avoid AT&T if you live in this area!

In a single call, I may lose the line 3-5 times. Not always, but often enough that it seems unusual. I've had Nokia phones in the past with AT&T, awesome reception, but this phone seems to suck. Also, the AT&T data network seems to always stop my first attempts at any connections, though the second attempts much more regularly connect. I'm glad the iphone looks boxy, it makes me feel better about considering changing my network and trying maybe one of those larger screen phones... .

The phone is unusable indoors. Phone does not ring half the time and calls never last more than a minute or two before dropping. During the minute or two, the call cuts in and out. Verizon is unable / unwilling to help.

I have had T-Mobil since Sept of 2006, and I have to say it is the WORST service I have ever had. I called one month into my plan (Oct '06) to complain about the service and was told it would be resolved in 120 days. That would have been Feb of 2007. Still crappy signal here, nothing was done. The first place I lived with the new service was at Prairie and Manhattan Beach Blvd, that is where I was told the service would improve. Then I moved to Hawthorne and 163rd St., still had to go outside into the adult store parking lot to talk on the phone. Have recently moved again to Prairie and 166th St., still I have to go outside and stand in the street to get a signal. Does anyone know of a carrier that works well here in Lawndale on the West side of the golf course? Then we get into my driving around town and the state, oh boy! I get dropped calls when I am trying to talk with customer service about the dropped calls! They tried to offer me 50 minutes more for free; I said I already have 1000 minutes, I need reliable service, not free minutes! They can't do anything. Luckily my plan is up in Sept. I am researching now for a good carrier in this area.

I have had Sprint for two years, and there is NO reception anywhere near El Camino... Now, Cingular! They give me about... 4 bars when I'm at home, 2 when I'm driving near LAX (under the tunnel thing) I love Cingular... I've been with them before AT&T came into it. Now they're a little better... But AT&T has always had crappy customer service... But that's another topic completely... So, what I really want to say is that Cingular has been a great provider to me for about... 4 years? (I think it's been 4 years... )

Barely any reception. All calls eventually get dropped. It is terrible. Little to no reception in the house.
