T-Mobile works great here. Occasional weak signal during rush hours, but otherwise service has improved in the past year.

I have a business phone Cingular Treo which I only get about one bar and only can make calls sometime in the upstairs bedroom, My Verizon Razor have 5 bars and I can make calls from the basement. I have used all the cell phone carriers in the LA area and travel the highways daily. I can clearly state the Verizon has the best service of any cellular company in Los Angeles. Sprint has good coverage as well since Sprint and Verizon are on the same network and share cell site. The only thing with Sprint is their customer service is not very good and forget about getting them to do something as simple as change rate plans without mayor issues. Verizon voice, data and customer service is the best.

Receprion at home is terrible. Have to go to the back of the house to get signal. Dropped Sprint to get Verizon and neither one is any good. Guess I'll have to stick with the land line!

Lousy reception, in Long Beach (home), Santa Monica (work), and everywhere in between. I feel like I got hosed. I jumped from T-Moble because I didn't like their handsets. Now I love my handset but most of my phone calls either break off or are so full of static that I give up and use a land-line.

Sprint has been good to me for 3 years so far. I have one more year left on my contract. The downside is there cost of adding things to your plan. Its get pricey right now I am paying around $70 for 1000K min. free after 7PM, 300 Text, Insurace, International calling BUT NO INTERNET! which I hate cuz if you go on the internet it will cost a lot. $15 is the base price for internet and my sis which she has Helio now no more Sprint is only paying $65 with unlimited texting and internet downside is -500 mins. / international calling / free after 9PM. -oh yeah about coverage its koo so far but customer service is crappy

Spint sucks. What else can I say? It is sometimes maddening not getting reception when a business related call comes in VIA my cell and I have to drive a couple miles away from home just to get a voice message. A couple people have noted that I cant talk longer than 4-5 minues with them before my phone starts breaking up. This has been going on for a couple years. I thought by swithing phones that this may work to use a cell. NOPE. I get the urge more and more to throw my phone out the window of my jeep after another lost call. SPRINT BLOWS

The tower locations on this website are not accurate. I am a consultant for T-Mobile and worked on the installation of their site on 2nd St. and Nieto (on top of Steak O'Rama). This cell site is not listed on this website. I checked other locations in which I installed cell sites for Cingular and T-Mobile and they too are not listed.

The lure of the T-Mobile "carry forward" unused minutes plan was the cause for this purchase. T-Mobile has not been able to awaken this phone which receives no signal in or around my house and only starts becoming functional at the intersection of Studebaker and Stearns. It will be reassigned to its well deserved paper weight position regardless of the 1,350 unused minutes on its clock. No reflection on Nokia which makes good hardware.

I live at the intersection of Willow and Studebaker in Long Beach which is a fringe area next to the Eldorado Park that many neighbors have labeled cellular hell. After month long frustrations with my own T-Mobile, which will not work in or around the house, I tried my sons' AT&T and Sprint which while functional displayed sub-average reception and clarity. The Motorola E815 with Verizon service was acquired today and functions flawlessly with excellent send and receive capabilities. The phone itsel has far too many features but fortunately they do not intrude too much in the process of placing and receiving calls.
