The LG 1300 phone from Cingular gets little reception ANYWHERE..it cuts off calls and says "emergency only" for about 30% of the time the phone is on.

Always have outstanding reception with Verizon at home and most places in LA. I almost never experience dropped calls or other reception or connectivity issues. This is also the case in the other Metro-areas I frequent (NY, SF, Detroit)

If you are inside a building such as the Student Union on campus, chances of any reception are very slim. You need to be out in the open away from structures and not in between buildings either to get some reception. At peak times (around noon and 5pm), the network is busy even though you get reception. Either you would need to get away from campus or just wait till the peak time is over.

I switch from Sprint to AT&T for the iphone - what a mistake! I never, REPEAT NEVER had a problem with dropped calls on Sprint, and I was with them for 10 years. What a mistake to switch to AT&T for the IPhone - I love the phone, but HATE the carrier. I have never experienced so many dropped calls, repeatedly over and over again. And I specifically asked about coverage in my area. I hope some class action law suit is filed against AT&T.

Service sucks - dropped calls daily from home - no improvement by going outdoors. This happened after upgrading - old Samsung phone worked better

My Recipients are always complaining of bad reception on my phone. It is mostly when using Bluetooth or the Speaker Phone functions. Also there are an inordinate amount of dropped calls.
