Virgin network for about a year. Love the $35 per month price. 4g LTE works on wifi no problem, but I never get more than one bar in my apartment. Voice calls are THE WORST. NO / POOR RECEPTION everywhere in Los Angeles it seems. Going to switch to Straight Talk tomorrow, try something new. Virgin customer service has always been nice, however. Wish telephone reception was better.

Our house is in a zone of extremely poor signal (MtWashington / Highland Park). Tried both AT&T and Verizon but T-Mobile is the only cell service we've found to work in house. Voice is great, 3G Data works fine but we use WiFi once home so can't truly judge. Neighbors just across the street require a signal booster for Verizon with what seems like mixed results... T-Mobile works in our neighborhood!

Amazing coverage in HLP and South Pas. Dropped Verizon due to their lack of coverage in South Pas. Often had no service in buildings with them. T-Mobile is the fastest and most reliable in LA!

Absolutely rubbish, no reception at all 90% of the time, occasionally get one bar if outside. Pointless and no refund as apparently our area is covered! Thanks for nothing T-moblie. I have a roaming phone too which pulls out the best signal and can get AT&T (two bars) but reading the other reviews they are even worse generally!

I get pretty good reception around town, but not as much in Buildings. In the office, just down the street from Hollywood Blvd.and Gower St., We use a Sprint booster to get a strong enough signal. Otherwise, in the building it's pretty sketchy. Sprint generally works Ok around town. I dropped calls coming out of Hollywood going north on the 101 freeway at the same place every time, and going up the 405 just before Mulholland. There are times when I wish it was better. Fact I've been looking for a better possibility, but it doesn't seem that any of the carriers are that good. Was hoping to find one on the site.

I just left Sprint after 6 years and moved over to Metro Pcs. I had a Note 2 and always had problems with cell reception and no Data in my house or Work. I work in Santa Monica in the Water Garden. Data is dead in the office and very slow at home 2mb-4mb. Driving around LA I had tons of Data Dead spots. I knew 4G LTE was new in LA for Sprint so I wasn't expecting much. After moving over to Metro PCS / T-Mobile I no longer have problems at home or at work with thick walls. I get 15mb at home all day and 8 mb at work. I've tested all over the city and no drop in data 4G LTE pretty consistent. I've seen up 50mb in N Hollywood on the way to Burbank Airport to 20 mb avg around the city. Best deal on the market for low tier service. Metro PCS has outdated phones but I've decided it's worth bringing over Note 4 unlocked at near full price $500 on CL and only pay $60 per month.

I get reception almost everywhere on voice, not so much with up in the hills or inside a big store. Data is less reliable. I find customer service to be useless and I'm paying about $170 month.

Cell signal is always great. T-Mobile unfortunately sucks so even when I have full bars, I drop calls. I am not alone. I'm sure there tower is over congested around here.
