I've lived in the area for 2 years now and still no improvement from T-Mobile and you'd think all the 101 Fwy and visitors to Hollywood Bowl would make it a priority... .what's the hold up?

It is so moody, it drives me crazy. Getting a call and then having to run upstairs to answer the call. Not to mention that the panasonic phone I have has the worst reception. You walk to steps forward and all of a sudden, "Searching For Network".

I have horrible reception where I live, and often lose calls. I'm considering moving to either Cingular or Verizon.

Just swtiched from Sprint (perfect reception everywhere - even in the garage! Too bad for the customer service.) No reception in my house or in the few blocks surrounding my address. Sometimes if I stand still, it works for a second. Calls dropped and people trying to call me get "number not working" message. Phone also does not work in the hills (Franklin and Beachwood).

No reception in the area of Eagle Rock where Townsend and Yosemite intersect. If you're lucky---really lucky--- you might get one bar of reception...

I'm only a few blocks up from Franklin on N. Beachwood Dr.and I get almost no reception. I CANNOT initiate any phonecalls unless I go out to the street, and even then the calls are very spotty. I may receive a call at home, but it is NEVER clean, almost always cuts off, and a pain to stand still like a "statue" when you finally find that "spot" where reception seems to be best. My email messages from the T-Mobile Sidekick do go through and get received, but I have to leave the device glued to my front window. And even then, there are many days when the reception is horrible and I have to wait hours for messages to go through and arrive. DO NOT RECOMMEND T-MOBILE IN THIS AREA.

I can get 2 bars if out by the street, otherwise 0 / 1 in my apartment. This means I miss half of my calls and the unlimited nites / weekends are pretty worthless. Data rarely works below 3 bars on the Sidekick so screwed there too.

Verizon is almost more expensive than all the other carriers combined... but everyone in my family has it so all those minutes are free and the reception in Silver Lake seems better than any other carrier. I was told when moving here to steer away from Sprint and Cingular. My housemate has T-Mobile and has to go outside to talk or stand on a chair.

Last year, I got pretty bad reception... 1 or 2 bars if I kept my phone by the window. This year, I moved next door in the same complex and now I get 2-3 bars all the time.

0-1 bars indoors, calls will be ok if you're in a good spot, but will drop if you move around too much. Pretty poor reception in this area.

Constantly drop calls in my apartment, or calls do not go through. If I wait about 30 seconds, reception gets better, but this is not a permenant fix. Horribly unhappy with Cingular in this area, looking to switch ASAP.
