Generally solid reception, but no spectacular. Will usually get 2-3 bars when in building

At work - My phone will indicate full bars one second and then no service the next. Cannot conduct a phone conversation without call being dropped or very poor reception. AT&T touts its reputation with the largest nationwide network. What a load of crap!

I average at least 5 dropped calls a day with AT&T in LA. Service is terrible.

I live at the foot of the Hollywood Hills and reception here just generally sucks. My Samsung S105 goes from 1 bar to 3 - if I'm lucky. Once I'm connected, the conversation drops in and out. One of my roommates has Nextel and the other has AT&T, and neither of them have any luck with reception here. Glad I kept a land line.

Just switched to Verizon from AT&T GSM. Wow. What a difference, especially where I work in the west SF Valley. Used to get no reception in many buildings and spotty reception in Silver Lake with AT&T. With Verizon, clear signal throughout LA. The only dead spot I found was in Stevenson Ranch in Santa Clarita (i.e. the boonies).
