I live on the corner of Los Feliz and Riverside and our reception sucks, with only 1 line or less. I'm now looking for one that works here. I'll try Verizon and see if that works.

Phone calls not coming through and voicemails arriving hours late has left me homeless in major socal cities. I have to walk outside my apartment or school buildings anytime I want to have a useful conversation on the overpriced minutes I get. While I hear GSM gets clearer reception, the minutes are overpriced and the customer service sucks.

Well, I think Verizon is the only company that you get 1 or sometimes 2 bars when you're in the subway! Wow... so amazing. Such strong signals they have.

At least it works in this neighborhood. I had Verizon and was unable to complete a call in the Pico / Beverwil area. Also, mostly OK in the Miracle Mile area. My contract is over and I'm actually considering sticking with my current carrier, for the first time in my life.

I switched from AT&T to Cingular because I was tired of a spending money on a carrier that didn't even get reception at my home. I was also told by Cingular that they were in the process of acquiring AT&T wireless and in doing so would be able to provide better service on a growing basis. What a load of crap! Not only do I no longer get reception at my home, I can't make a call with confidence. 9/10 times I get dropped. Not only is it frustrating, it is embarrassing. I don't care if I have to eat the cost of the phone and the break up. I am sick of this company.

I have 1 to 2 bars of reception on AT&T Wireless Motorola V60 cell phone on Slauson from intersection of Rodeo and Crenshaw to intersection of Exposition and Vermont Ave.

Verizon has the best reception in the UCLA area by far, and it's actually the only company that seems to get reception within my apartment building (my friends with other services get literally NO reception). I switched from Sprint a year ago, and it was more than worth the extra cost. You will still get dropped calls occasionally, but generally service is very reliable. If your reception starts cutting out frequently, consider taking your phone into the Verizon store for a software update. Also, if it's within its 1-year warranty period, they'll replace anything (batteries, bent antennaes, etc.) for free. To keep reception up, update your Preferred Roaming List once a month by dialing *228 and choosing option 2.

I hate to admit this since I am sick of Sprint PCS customer service and ready to switch. While I am testing Cingular, Nextel at this location and Sprint PCS has the best reception.

The reception is really a zero in my home (Crescent Heights & Orange St), and then is maybe one bar on the drive south to the 10 Fwy, passing through a spot where the coverage is basically zero on the way (50% chance of call drop, 100% chance of voice breaking up, from Pico south to the 10).

Reception is okay on major streets, in the neighborhoods, it is spotty at best.
