5 bars in Apt. with no reception - deception. Dropped calls are de rigueur. Student at USC shows 5 bars and again reception is spotty. Today I switch to another provider. I' m frustrated with Sprint service.
only edge reception. voice calls are often unintelligible or dropped. sometimes reception drops to no service. AT&T says they will submit a "trouble ticket".
Dropped calls every few minutes. In coming calls go straight to voicemail. No 3G service, sometimes no Edge service. This is the same with my Blackberry and the same SIM. Swapped SIMS twice and the phone once but still bad service. When will AT&T do something?
Generally very poor GSM reception throughout Los Angeles. Travelling throughout urban China and Hong Kong, I get 5 bars of reception even in elevators!
Used to get 3 to 4 bars in the house. A couple of months ago there was a noticeable drop to one or two. Can usually still make calls, but it's spotty. Decent around Bel Air. Dead spot halfway down Roscomare and halfway down Woodcliff,
I'm on the corner of Ohio and Veteran Ave in Westwood. I have a basic voice / text plan with Verizon for the last few years. I've had a good overall experience with Verizon. My apt (on one of the higher levels of the building) gets decent reception (at least 4 bars with a fully charged battery). In addition, my Verizon phone has worked all over Westwood. I'm going to go with AT&T soon due to the selection of phones, rollover minutes, and international calling, but am worried that reception may not be as good as Verizon's. If not, I'll be switching back to Verizon despite the benefits of AT&T
