The ONLY phone that works in my home is SPRINT. Been that way for the past 8 years. ATT folks have to go outside to the driveway to make calls. Sometimes, I'm glad when they go out.

I live in the Malibu Bay Club near Neptune's Net and have Verizon Droid X. I have no major problems. Pretty decent. Not great, but consistently good.

Only doesn't work in very deep canyons. Works all along Kanan and PCH. Doesn't work well at the top of Decker or along Muholland. Works well in west San Fernando Valley.

My mom lives in this area, and I am surprised by how good Sprint's coverage is when I go and visit her. With that said, it seems like once a year in the summer there is always a problem with reception. When I call and ask about the problem (I pay the bill so it is easier for me to check up on it) Sprint claims that it is due to "repairs". The thing is that she always has this problem in August. She is also not the only person with this problem. There is one spot at the bottom of her hill where you can see all the Sprint customers making calls during the downtime. We know they are Sprint customers because we have asked them what carrier they are with. Overall I am very happy with Sprint's service. I'm glad to know that at least eleven months out of the year my mom can make calls from her home, and I know I will get reception when I go to visit her. Sprint has also been nice enough to pay for the month that she does not receive coverage without having to ask for it.

I want to get a new phone but my choice is dictated by strength of signal so that limits me to Sprint. Too bad because I really like Apple's iPhone 4 which gets ZERO reception at my house.

I wish we had cell service that worked for all of Malibu. Sprint works well in Malibu Park when they aren't working on a tower (which is more frequent than you'd think). My phone also doesn't work at Pepperdine.

Works only in my bedroom. Poor at 4.45PM to 6PM. Castro Peak overloaded at prime time. I use a cell to TELCO adapter to make it my only home phone.

Very poor service on heavy traffic days suggests the overall AT&T infrastructure is inadequate for the abundance of smart phones now in use. AT&T loves to sell the fancy equipment and data plans but cannot service the additional bandwidth demand caused by such use. Hmmmm...
