Phone says 2 bars, but reception is really choppy. Lots of dropped calls. Sometimes text messages can't even get through. There's a small area in my apartment where it's good enough to have a conversation. I'm on the top floor of an apartment complex. My roommate has T-Mobile and doesn't have any problems.

Fewer Bars in More Places. Got the iPhone for its capabilities, didn't realize how the capabilities are limited by the poor to non-existent reception in the Marina and so many other places in Los Angeles. AT&T should stop talking about the world's fastest 3G Network. Who cares how fast it is when you cannot access it? Terrible Reception. Got locked out of my apartment building last night, and it took me 15 minutes to get a signal to call my wife to let me in!

I can backup the other posts from Mariners Village Apartments that there is no AT&T signal on the property. I get 1 bar in my apartment when I am inside the unit, 1 bar, rarely 2 when I am on my patio. 1 block north on Via Dolce is a dead zone. If you drive 1 mile north to Washington Blvd.I get full reception. Friends with Verizon who come over to have similar problems.

I barely get reception inside, I ALWAYS drop calls when pulling in to the driveway, and throughout most of the town I will randomly drop calls. AT&T on the west side in general is mediocre, but it's particularly bad in Venice and Marina del Rey.

Poor reception in doors. Get bars only 60% of time. Dropped calls. No ring messages delivered hours late. Most cell phone companies stop building cell towers as you get towards the ocean, that is why we all have such crappy service: There are no towers covering our "other side."

Very very poor reception. You will lose your call within three or four minutes. Reception near the basins in the Marina has always been pathetic for Sprint and for Verizon.

Horrible. Almost nothing inside the condo. Any calls that do connect, are lost almost immediately.

Can make call 95% of time, inside and out - which is why I said "average" Data is usually quite fast, and email push is almost instant - as in seconds only.

Apartment at the end of Bora Bora Way with north-facing windows. We have two of the same phone, both using Verizon. One phone gets good signal always. The other phone sometimes cannot dial out or receive calls.

HORRIBLE! I got out of my AT&T contract because of this; they realized there was very little coverage here and waived the early termination fee.
