i have to ride my quad (4 wheel bike) down to gate, approx 1000 yards away to get reception. and I have to be on the right side of street. Left side, it dies?

I get great reception with my Verizon phone, usually full bars, I had Sprint before and had horrible service, usually 1 to 3 bars, now its 3-full bars. And EV-DO is the same way, its great.
