I get great reception with my Verizon phone, usually full bars, I had Sprint before and had horrible service, usually 1 to 3 bars, now its 3-full bars. And EV-DO is the same way, its great.

Great reception in the neighborhood. However, when driving on HWY 4 between Morello and Pacheco Exits, I always drop the calls. I also drop calls / don't have any bars in the Hidden Lakes Park - Viginia Hills area.

I pretty much had all the carriers that are offered in the Martinez. I have to say though I have ATT and there service is good. But when I had Verizonwireless I had a but load of dropped calls. When there was a hill I could garente you that you going to drop even on freeways. Sprint has as good as coverage as ATT but there a little better because the 3g is everywhere but edge is fine to. So Sprint and AT&T are the best T-Mobile dosent have dropped calls but some areas there is just no service at all. Metropcs is just as good with Verizon to but I hated that the service area is so small. So all in all ATT and Sprint are the best service to chose in my view. Recommended Highly.

I formerly had Cingular (2 years ago), and got lousy coverage. Sprint and Nextel do a particularly good job of coverage in the courthouse area.

I had to really do some research but this older Nokia model gets great reception and rarely drops calls all over the SF Bay Area. Newer dital phones offered are a total nightmare.

You might get 1 bar of 2g if you stand on your roof holding your phone out... .if your lucky. T-Mobile send out a Cel-Fi booster for us told us you only needed one bar when in reality you need one bar of 3g for it to work :(
