Since 30 October the reception has been poor; network busy message has become the norm. Text Messaging not working reliably. I will most likely move to Verizon, since with ATT, iCant depend on the network. Plus, Droid is looking very nice.

Forgot about going indoor in this area. Reception is shady at best.

Dead Zone. Can get poor reception in front of house; cannot obtain signal indoors. Have tested all carriers and every one has problems along the eastern foothills of Milpitas, especially at Landess. We have stopped using cell phones at home and opted for VOIP while we are home. Have opened repair tickets with several services, but nothing is being done. AT&T also drops calls all along the I-680 corridor.

My phone is still on the old AT&T TDMA network. Reception was acceptable (3 out of 5 bars) in Jan 2006. Reception is very poor and irregular now (Nov 2006). Calls drop often, probably 5 out of 10 times. Cingular has TDMA towers in this area, but is not maintaining them because they have switched to the GSM network. There were 3 TDMA towers in this area compared to 20 GSM towers in this area (in Jan 2006). Status of the TDMA towers was "heavily degraded" (in April 2006) according to a Cingular Customer Service Rep. There is a lawsuit against Cingular concerning its claims that it would maintain the level of service for its AT&T customers when the two firms merged. It will be interesting to see how that turns out.

Excellent reception from VZW. I have had other carriers but none have come close to Verizons signal strength.

Full signal everywhere throughout milpitas

VZW has the best CDMA reception so far. I have had every carrier at one point or the other and no one has been able to provide a service as good as VZW.

T-mobile has the worst customer care and the rep's have no courtsey at all. When I told them about my problem of not being able to use my celphone even though I had full signal strength, it took them 3 months to start to act and then the answer thy give me at the end is that there is a tower problem, which in the current budget they cannot fix. So who cares about you F... .ing budget I care about my value for money, which as far as I am concerned was nil. They are the most crappy of all wireless carriers, and they are literally the cheapest.They are the scum of the earth when it comes to wireless carriers, third world countries have better service and performance than them.

Very very weak signal with my R225 (inside and outside). Ordered a Nokia on eBay, hopefully it will work better.

Outside buildings - excellent reception. Inside my office - 1 bar only, poor reception, but expected.

Excellent reception. Already tried AT&T, Sprint, and Cingular. Nothing is comparable to Verizon.

Very good service in every highway, underground parking, and other places with Verizon Wireless. Impossible to get reception with GSM in rare areas. Full bars in highways.
