I have Boost Mobile, but that exclusively uses the Sprint network. I get great reception here. I have never had a dropped call. Ever. 3g network (no idea if we have 4g here as my phone is not equipped to use 4g) works just fine. Never had an issue getting online or texting or emailing. I had an IPhone 4 with ATT, but at least 1 / 3 of calls dropped--even though at the end I got a micro tower in my house! My wife and I for fun would take turns making and losing calls next to the worthless tower--should have put it on YouTube! Bottom line, Sprint coverage here is perfect.

T-Mobile seems to get pretty good reception in Mission Viejo. I get five bars everywhere in my house. The only problem spot seems to be the first floor of the Shops at Mission Viejo.

Verizon coverage is pretty good in Mission Viejo. Coverage in Rancho Santa Margarita can be sketchy, Coto de Caza is a nightmare, and there are even parts of Irvine where I have trouble getting signal. Cingular seems to have better coverage of RSM, but I don't know about Coto or Irvine. My biggest gripe with Verizon is that they locked down Bluetooth (so that it will only work with a headset) and didn't tell me that when they sold me a $150 phone on a two year contract... then they tried to sell me a cable to use with my computer that doesn't work with Mac (they said that it did, but then I pointed out on the box where it said that it only works with Windows). Then they told me that it won't be for atleast another two years that they will unlock Bluetooth because of some apparent contract (with who?). Basically, it is just a ploy to get you to use GetItNow. It is a trade off: Verizon gets pretty good coverage most places, but their customer support agents don't seem to be well informed, and their marketing practices are misleading. If you want good coverage, pick Verizon but be prepared to get screwed over by their customer service.

1-2 bars all around my house at best. Upstairs in the back seems best but no guarantee of anything. Downstairs most calls disconnect at one time or another. Looking for a signal booster to see if that helps and have written Verizon for assitance and advise.

Disappointed in the phone reception of my Cingular Treo 650 in my house. The Treo 650 frequently drops calls, signal bar count changes frequently from 4 to zero. Transmission and reception sound quality is also poor. Wife has a Cingular LG L1400 and signal strength is stronger with no dropped calls and crystal clear reception and transmission. My dad has a Cingular Samsung which has equal quality reception.

AT &T coverage sucks. No signal in or outside my apt most times. "Emergency Calls Only" pops up when zero bars. Rarely 2 bars avail. Coverage is horrible along south I-5, especially in the concrete canyons of San Clemente. No signal from north end of Camp Pendleton all the way to San Juan Capistrano. The AT&T coverage map for Mission Viejo is totally bogus... dead spots all over from Alicia and Trabuco area to Via Linda appartment / condo area to the Home Depot in MV. All zeeeero bars!
