I used to have good reception. Now I can't receive calls or make them due to a sim card that needs upgrading.

We had good reception when we lived at Finlandia Ave.between Woodland and Kansas. Now we have to move around the house just to get any bars.I see by the tower map the nearest towers are over 2 miles away. The price consumers pay for cell service we should not need to purchase a signal extender. We have been loyal AT&T customers for years, but that may change in the future.

I had Sprint for years with zero reception issues. I had to get the iPhone and have had poor coverage since. I LOVE my new iPhone, but the signal is crap! Some places around town, I'll get full bars and good service, but inside my home [or most buildings for that matter] it's a crap-shoot as to weather or not I'll even be able to call, email, surf or whatever. I'm gonna stick with it however, I just wish I could get better signal.

I had Verizon and the service in my home was really bad. I called their customer care and they told me their map said I should get grest signal, like I would be calling in if I didnt have a problem! So as soon as my contrat was up I got an iPhone with AT&T. So far the service has been perfect. No dropped calls, no poor call quality. and I spent less at AT&T for my iPhone than I did at Verizon for the POS I had with them. There is no way I would ever get Verizon again.

I think we got better reception before AT&T started running those stupid ads about how great their reception was. It almost seems like they re-oriented the antenna in our area so that the signal became weaker. Now I either can't connect or the call gets dropped regularly. I rarely ever finish a complete conversttion anymore without having to re-connect. Inside the house? Forget it! It's not going to happen. Outside or in the car, maybe. I could get better odds on completion in Vegas.

I rarely ever get two bars at home and in my back yard Sprint drops calls all the time. Also no matter where I've been I have never had 5 bars.

Nextel has the very worst reception of any company I have ever had. The customer support is very very bad. I just came back from Yellowstone went through 5 states in 18 hours and I had reception for 2 of 18 hours. Please learn from my mistake and do not go with Nextel / sprint. My wife has a different model phone and we both had 2 hours of reception in 18 hours of driving so you can't blame the model of phone. Most of my Family has nextel / sprint a total of 13 of us and we are all changing plans for the same reason.

I rarely get dropped calls however the clarity of the calls is poor a lot of the times. Sometimes I can barely hear the other person and end up having to hang up and call back. Reception in my home is usually 3 to 4 bars depending on what room I'm in.

Inside my house, my reception is not great, but I still don't often lose calls. The reception is better when I go outside. Overall, however, the reception has been great. I've had both Cingular and AT&T and am much happier with the reception. This is the only phone that I have been able to use at work (Livermore) and on the commute. The commute had horrible reception with AT&T and Cingular. To make a phone call, I had to pull off the road in certain spots. With Verizon, the dead spots are the exception and I can generally do well on a phone call while driving anywhere.

GSM sucks. 0 - 2 bars. It's like not having a phone at all. Unlimited nights and weekends means nothing if you don't get a signal!
