I am on the West side of MVHS and only about 4 blocks from the Washington st. AT&T cell tower. Reception stinks! I moved here 5 years ago and asked AT&T to fix the reception here. Today I still range from 1 bar to 3 bars. So I dug myself in even deeper! Bought the iphone 4 and love it (AT&T got some cash) I bought AT&T's Micro cell to help boost the power in my home. (AT&T got some cash), and the reception still stinks! Always comes and goes, drop's,... ..I wish AT&T would get there act together and help all of us in the area. True I can get on the Hwy. and all is good.

I would have to say everywhere I have been in this area is great, no joke, except for Winchester / Murrieta Hot Springs near McDonald's / Albertson's / Vons / Etc. If I'm talking on the phone before hitting this area usually the phone stays connected, but if I'm not on the phone my bars go to 0 - very strange.

I have had ATT (Cingular) for nearly 4 years. I switched to a Blackberry Edge a couple of years ago. My wife uses a Samsung flip phone. Most of the time our reception is really pretty good, except for some reason right in front of our house. There is a cell tower near the Nicholas Valley Grammer school on General Kerney road, which is less than a mile away. Away from home our reception in general has been good. I have never had any problems with ATT customer service and although we have occasional problems with reception, I am reluctant to go with a different carrier, such as Verizon. I am wondering if the style of the phone has anything to do with reception? In other words, if you have a cheaper phone would you get poorer reception?

Virgin Mobile is ok if you are near a major freeway and / or a large city. After that, nothing.

I have better luck with Virgin Mobile than Verizon wireless. They both use CDMA technology but I get no signal from VZ. I live a cell tower(300 ft away). I also like my Rugged Aloha LG LX140 phone. It's simple no thrills simple to use.

T-Mobile sucks balls in this area! I have to wave my phone around in the house to find a signal. Then when I find one I have to hold my head in that spot or hold the phone in that spot and talk on speaker so I don't loose it. I tried to call customer service and they told me that it shows they have coverage in that area... I told them I was standing right there and could visibly see that there was none... they said they couldn't help me because the system showed otherwise. So, I seriously DO NOT recommend T-mobile. Besides no coverage, their customer service sucks and they have made discrepencies on my bills.

Horrible reception and my phone is never working right. Service comes and goes. I usually get disconnected after about 1 minute using my phone. In my opinion Cingular / AT&T SUCKS!

DO NOT GET AT&T! We recently moved here from Missouri, where, I have to admit, the cell coverage with AT&T was great. The issue that I have is with AT&T and customer satisfaction, more than anything else. We have had our lines (3) with AT&T for almost four years now, and like I said, have recently moved. We have no contracts on two of our lines and a contract set to expire on 12 / 1 / 08 on our third line (it is now 8 / 19 / 08). We called several times and pleasantly told them their coverage here sucks, and we need to be out of our contract so that we can aquire a carrier that doesn't suck. I got the "oh no, sorry ma'm, our maps show that you have coverage, and we can only let you out of your contract if you have no coverage at all." Nice. Thanks for looking out for your customers. I'll try to keep in mind how awesome your map says my coverage is when I'm redialing three dropped calls on interstate 15. Oh yeah, and the 215. If you can't get coverage on an interstate, where can you get it?
