I have my cell service with AT&T and I have no land line, so I depend on my cell phone if people want to contact me at home. For outgoing calls I use skype because everything is totally reliable and clear through skype. However, there are times when I have no reception at home on my ATT cell service for no apparent reason. When I do have reception, it is generally good (average 3 bars), but then I can go several hours without service... and I haven't moved an inch. OK, I'm exaggerating butt whatever. One thing I need to mention here - I, am a very important person. I would even go so fart as to say I am a VIPP. I need to always be in a position where I can always be gotten a hold of, and wrestled to the ground and tickled with a super long feather. The feather I am speaking of here is AT&T... .and sometimes, the feather ain't there. Which makes no damn sense at all because how can I have reception one minute, and then lose reception for sometimes an hour or more? AND, I am not in motion. AND, I'm on top of a hill and RF signals are line of sight. What I suspect is happening is that there are bandwidth overruns from time to time, which are getting worse with all these idiots with their stupid Smart phones... .I'm looking at you, stupid Smartphone people; trying to access the internet to look up your moronic Facebook rent a friend site and texting while driving into a licker store and talking real loud to your other stupid friends while in the movie theatre like you are the only one there! Wow... .I really have issues. BUT, they are some really important issues. Just remember that. Was this review helpful to you?
I hate to call all the complainers "sheep" but they are. They rely on the carriers to provide them with various devices to boost signal as well as lots of excuses at a high price. I am a cell technician who represents a equipment supplier not connected with the carriers. I install better equipment than they offer with a satisfaction guarantee. No extra monthly charges from the carrier. I wont install unless I know it will work. Just moved to Nevada City. Will advertise soon. Was this review helpful to you?
I occasionally get text messages, but no cell phone reception to send or receive calls, vm or send texts. I bought a Verizon signal booster, which cost $150 and takes about 10 minutes each time I plug it in to connect to a signal, then I get 4 bars. The box has all kinds of warnings because it is like having a cell phone tower in your house, so I only plug it in when absolutely necessary. In a power outage, it's back to no reception. Was this review helpful to you?
Seems ATT has plenty of eq and pwr but not customers up here. So during the summer when their customers come up here things work well enough. Come Sept 21 the towers are on low pwr and no bars and no 3g even. You can't call out untill an incomming call or voicemail alert powers up the transmitter aimed in this direction, then you gotta be quick to dial out before pwr is cut. In an emergency this could be a killer. Was this review helpful to you?

Reception is always iffy at my mother's house. We got a "3g Micro Cell" at her house (mini personal cell tower). It plugs into the DSL line. But it doesn't go through the computer. A vast improvement! My iPhone is getting NO SERVICE for the 3rd day now. Unfortunately, AT&T will not allow my phone (which is and AT&T GoPhone) to access the Micro Cell. Was this review helpful to you?
We are two miles northeast of Nevada City. I get 1-2 bars with the iPhone 3G on AT&T. Data speeds are fine, but Voice calls are unreliable. Was this review helpful to you?
I live in Cascade Shores well above the store. Technically, this is outside of the Sprint service area. They did provide me with an Airave and it works beautifully as a home based repeater for my cell phone. I do get cell reception but it's spotty at best here. There is a dead spot up on the Cross Rd. just past BQH where the school bust stop is but it's a very small spot. The signal improves the closer you get to Red Dog Rd. I also have a 3G iPad and draw off the AT&T tower. The signal with that is also flaky... often drops to EDGE from 3G.Was this review helpful to you?
I had no coverage during the November storm, spotty since then, and no coverage for the past month. AT&T says the towers are damaged and keep giving me dates when they will be fixed but never are. What gives with these people? How much are we going to take? Was this review helpful to you?
