Had the same experience as another poster here: used to have 2-3 bars, and suddenly it's 1 bar, and I have to stand outside for that. Verizon's explanation: you're 9 miles from a tower; there must be trees in the way. Of course, nothing physical has changed here... .A Verizon employee finally admitted that increasing traffic diminishes access AND speed.

Coverage is spotty at best. My phone worked better 3 years ago. Don't really know if the service has changed, or if it's the phone. I'm going to switch to AT&T.

Surprisingly my cell reception has improved in the last year. I do upgrade my phones firmware every so often which seems to help. For the most part I get 3-5 bars all over, with a few dead zones. My phone is awful however, didn't like it almost immediately after getting it. My husband has had several of the Motorola flip phones and been happy, but he doesn't like this one either. Looking at moving up to a Smart phone with PDA but looking possibly to ATT because of price.

Tough area for reception. Use a tri-mode Motorola. Worthless. Analog signal appears strong but unable to receive or send.
