Service is very spotty, one minute you have signal and next minute at same location you don't have any bar. Very frustrating. I had ATT Blackberry I think 8230; it worked all the time at my home without any problem

I had AT&T in 1998-99 and it was the best available at the time (Verizon did not exist). When I was working for GTE when Bell Atlantic purchased them and Verizon was created out of the merger. As a result, I instantly became a user of Verizon Wireless services once they started purchasing wireless carriers. I get very good reception most places I go (I'm in sales and travel throughout the L.A. basin, even when I travel through e hills and along the coast. Of course no carrier covers everywhere and all are far from perfect, but Verison is pretty solid. If Verizon had the iPhone I would be ecstatic, but until then I'm sticking with solid cell coverage and an adequate phone. BTW, some phones get better reception than others, it's not all the carrier.

I normally get excellent reception. My wife also with ATT / Cingular gets good reception but a lot of dropped calls. She has a Sanyo Sync. On a recent trip to Vegas, I had good reception in all strip hotels and her phone continuously showed no bars or out of service. Not sure how much has to do with the phones. The rest of my ATT toting family gets good reception around Newbury Park

My reception at home has always been bad - first with Sprint (static on line) and now with Verizon (drops calls). Some rooms in the house don't work. Outside is better. Verizon is better than Sprint here. For both carriers, there's a spot on Lawrence just before Ventu Park Rd that it drops calls every time.

I get full bars, but people I talk to say they can't hear me very well. They say I sound like I'm in a wind tunnel. I can hear them just fine though. There is a dead spot on the 101 at the top of the grade going southbound.

Coverage was good a few years ago but now poor. Disconnets coming up Lynn towards Windy and poor in parts of Deer Ridge. Verizon keeps saying to try a new phone but our 2 LG phones show the same results. Switched from ATT many years ago because of similar bad service in the area.

When it was Cingular I got some signal, the phone would ring in the house but to talk or make phone calls you had to go outside. Now, with AT&T it's gotten worse, the phone shows 50% signal strenthg but when you try to make a phone call it doesn't even dial and goes to 0 signal. AT&T has a very bad customer service, so it's impossible to get an answer for the problem and all the other carriers have no signal in the area either.

My Sprint PCS service in this area is spotty and inconsistant. One moment I will have a signal, the next it will be gone. This is true for the whole neighborhood, Borchard and Reino, Reino and Kimber. I often have to turn on analog roaming in order to get a signal.

1 - 2 Bars (89 - 110 dBm signal noise). Many disconnects / missed calls due to weak signal. Cingular indicated they have no plans to add another tower in this area.

Switched from Cingular (actually old AT&T Nokia 3650) to Verizon because I heard that you could get decent reception in the area... .Wrong! I went from a poor to mediocre Cingular signal to no singal at all in my house. The Verizon phone has to be taken outside the house to get any signal at all. Geez... ..Can't SOMEBODY get a stinkin tower around here to allow the DV Ranch area to make cell calls. As much as I hate to admit it, I should have tested first before cutting over my numbers. Dumb move...

First of all, I'm not sure of the model number. It may be the 3560. It's the only color TDMA. Reception is spotty in our house, and OK down the street (Via Patricia). We fully live in the Dos Vientos Valley. All along Borchard (from top of the hill to the FWY) it's fine. At Newbury HS, it drops out. I was told TDMA is the ONLY way you can get reception in Dos Vientos. It's not great, but it does have places that work. I often hike over the hill to Epic Lake. I get full reception the whole way.

Reception changes even if the phone is not moving. There are only two places within my house that get reception and even then it is not guarunteed. The reception can go from 2 bars to none. callers will often be taken directly to voice mail because the phone is suddenly out of service range.

Basically, Sprint sucks in Newbury Park in most of Lynn Rd, from Lynn Road/Reino intersection to about 1/4 miles before Lynn Rd meets highway 101. Zero reception, period.
