Fortunately we're only here temporarily. For some reason ATT has skipped over this area.

I wish someone would do a class action against AT&T they suck. I had Verizon before they worked great in Newport Coast, ATT is a joke. The only reason I went to ATT was the IPHONE and i'm ready to go back to Verizon. It sucks... ..

I have lived in Newport Beach-Laguna Beach for little over ten years and recently moved on the Hill of Newport Coast, I now have 3 to 4 bars regularly. In North Laguna I had more trouble about getting a signal, but I don't remember dropping any calls. If I couldn't call out then I would move 20 ft and it would work. I switched to T-Mobile the first year they launched in the States. I had Cigular before and found no mater what phone I used the call quality was not good, I had more dropped calls and crud from their support that, I gave them up. When I switch to T-Mobile the quality went up, more important was there response to my complaints. I have a home in the desert of of Jefferson Blvd. at first I had a hard time receiving a signal especial close to the mountains, so I called 611 and reported it. Two weekends later I'm getting coverage not great but it was noticable. Recently in Newport Coast I called about a street that in parts have shady connection, three weeks ago the signal was improved. It probally had nothing to do with me but I glad to see that they are fixing and working on there voice network.

Reception very spotty in Newport Coast area. In Tesoro area, 5 bars, excellent signal. In Pacific Ridge, in the shadow of Signal Peak with all of its towers, no signal at all.

My Nextel cell phone has absolutely no reception at the toll plaza. Other drivers appear to have reception with their cellular providers. My money is good why isn't Nextel's signal?
