Had T-Mobile with 1-2 bars and Edge. Been on Verizon for about a month. Nothing but 3G and no dropped calls anywhere in house.

Sign in the parking lot of 24 Hour Fitness says "future site of T-Mobile tower" to be built on roof. Sounds good for T-Mobile, and maybe AT&T next year.

Rarely am able to complete a call without being dropped. I usually have to go outside to get decent reception. The reception has always been poor. Sprint might have been a better choice for my area.

Terrible reception. Even bought the Microcell (why in the world should I have to buy a device to make my phone work in a home that's 1300 square feet is beyond me) and still nothing. Called AT&T and they say "well the coverage map says you have good coverage". Who creates the map, a 4 year old? Took screenshots for weeks of "Call Failed" on my iPhone and sending them into AT&T so that they either update their coverage map or let us out of our contract. Ridiculous.

I have had Verizon for a few months and had perfect reception the whole time. It has just been since the holidays that it all went to crap! I seem to still have decent coverage when out in town, but at home I have to send a txt 4-5 times for it to maybe send, and most of my calls get dropped. I didn't have a land line installed when I moved in cause the coverage was so great, but now that my husband is deployed and I am living alone and 9 months pregnant, and I really need my phone to work... it doesn't. What's more is that my husband left me a General POA so that I could take care of things. Since he has left, they have screwed up and overcharged me, then I found out they hadn't been giving him his military discount when I KNOW that we were told it was going into effect in October when we asked for it... more overcharging, all on top of the fact that my coverage is shot. They will not accept my POA or deployment orders with sailors and soldiers act, nor will they make changes to the account or fix the discount situation. When I called about my coverage tonight they asked to speak to my husband and said that they could only troubleshoot my phone with him. It was only after I threatened to bring my problem to the attention of his command so that Verizon could be known for the kind of customer service they offered that she finally tried to fix it! Made me even angrier! So if I call in with a problem I have to threaten and bribe you to help me???? Ridiculous! Sprint is cheaper anyway! Consider another carrier.

T-Mobile definitely doesn't get reception out here by the beach. Forget about dropped calls... try... can't even make or receive a call at all! Ughhh... Used to live in Carlsbad and had Sprint phone which had awful reception. Switched to Verizon. Never had a problem. Might have to switch back just to be able to have a phone that works out here!

SPRINT SUCKS NOW! I've had Sprint for over 6 years and never had a problem until now.. I don't know what they are doing with the phones they are selling but they seem to be doing something on purpose. I say this because I had to buy this thing called an AiRave by Samsung, made just for Sprint in order to get reception in my house. SOOO now I have Excellent reception BUT NOW the people I'm talking too can't seem to hear me. They say it's like talking to a robot or a crappy walkie talkie. They only hear every other word I say. AND I GET DROPPED CALLS (NEVER DID BEFORE). Picture mail is a joke. 90% of the time it tells me it can't send a picture because the network is having issues. (this happens almost everywhere I go) I've called customer service before about this and they say there should be a technician coming out because this seems to be a common and growing issue. YEAH RIGHT I've heard that before. Sprint you sound like a broken record. Stop FALSE ADVERTISING AND LYING or you might get SUED. THE MARINES AT CAMP PENDLETON WORK VERY HARD FOR YOU AND THIS COUNTRY. THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS PROVIDE THEM WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE LIKE YOU SAY YOU DO.

0-1 Bars, dropped calls. And I just got this phone because I thought it was a problem with my old phone. Coverage is crummy. Where are my 'people'? False Advertising, I'd say. What's the point of a mobile phone if you service is lousy to non-existant? Phone is going back to Verizon today.

AT&T works reasonably well in most areas of Oceanside but they need some more cell towers to fill in soft spots of coverage around Douglas and North River road. There was a cell tower potential site sign near the intersection of Calle Montecito and North River Rd.and if / when it gets built would help out coverage tremendously, if AT&T sites an antenna farm there.

At the intersection of Rancho Del Oro and 76, the reception is always very good. We live on the side of a hill just south of 76 in the Mission Point area and the reception is almost always poor there (0 to 2 bars).

I have renewed Verizon 2 yr contracts 3 times. However, it used to be that our cell phones worked well at our home near Mira Costa College. Rancho Del Oro / Cameo Dr / Vista Way / Oceanside Bl... but for the last 4-5 months the phones simply do not perform well here at home. 0-1 bar, I complained and they tried to tell me it was the phones we had LG VX 6100. I said that makes no sence because both wife and mine stopped working well at exactly the same time. Now, on our 3rd 2 yr agrmt, they gave us LF VX8300 which are purportedly great phones, and the same low level 0-1 bars at the house. It is obvious they have oversold the area. I want to know if Cingular works well cause you can get a smoking deal with jumbled service from AT+T with unlimited Long Distance on regular home phone, faster DSL, and cell with free Razor for great price.

On my 15 minute roundabout morning commute along the unconnected portion of Cannon Rd in Shadowridge to the Cannon Rd and I-5 onramp I go from 4 bars to none half a dozen times. Approximately half the distance is a dead zone with the poorest reception at Cannon Rd and El Camino Real intersection. I get one to no bars at work (right near the power plant) and have to step outside the building to ensure not getting dropped.
