I have Nextel. I put No Reception, but in actuality, I get one bar about 1 out of 15 outgoing calls (I miss a good 50% of my incoming calls at least), and very rarely do I get more than one bar. So basically No Reception. Since this website doesn't show people from my area, it looks like I'm going to have to play the hit or miss game with these carriers, utilizing the 30-day return policy. Can't trust any of the "coverage" maps.

Never drop calls from anywhere in the house. Reception and reliability are as good as a land line.

little to no reception inside apt bldg, had to go outside to make calls. Always get dropped from calls when on Westbound 22 Fwy connector from Southbound 55 Fwy. Always.

When I first signed up with Verizon in Nov'01, getting a call out or sending SMS text from my home was poor. Going outside the house was often necessary. Currently (Feb'06), I have four bars nearly all the time, no more dropped calls, and I can make all calls from inside my house.

extremely poor reception. I don't know about other companies in this area but Cingular is horrendous. 90% of the time there's no reception in the house and 10% the reception is very poor and you can barely hear anything. horrible, just horrible

Reception at Chapman University is horrible. There is no reception in the dorms, you have to walk outside just to make a phone call. There is also no reception on-campus in any of the buildings. If its ever raining or windy outside, forget being able to make a call.

The old towne orange area seems to be real hit-or-miss depending on where you are standing, or very sensitive to buildings. At my home I have next to no reception. If I walk outside it is perfect. My fiance's Motorola V300 is about the same but a little worse. T-Mobile claims it's a "good" reception area, but apparently it's a subjective term.

I can only use AT&T away from home. The vaunted free LD in my plan does me no good at all. Traveling, roaming charges eat me alive. I am looking to change carriers.
